You are correct, they did the wiring for the two new cross overs that were installed for this summer.^My bad. For some reason I though that one was already there and was just replaced.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
But also single tracking would probably move frequency to like every 20 minutes.Based on Saint Louis MetroLink's Facebook posts, it looks like they do alot of single tracking, instead of closing stations.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
Does anyone have experience with similar LRT or streetcar systems in other cities? Is this amount of shutdown time common or an anomaly? The only other experience I've had with LRT/tram shutdown is in Oslo where a station was closed for a few months. I am not, but I believe that the 11 day shutdown...

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
Math Time! I was bored and did the math around the number of LRT shutdowns so far in 2017, including the one night closure tomorrow. 651 hours of LRT shutdown Which is about 27 days or 7.4% of the year, the 11 day shutdown accounts for a majority of this year. Hopefully there won't be as many in the...

What is different?Too bad they don't have a video of the "C" section inside, which I think is the only difference between II and IIa vehicles.

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
What I have heard around at Metro Transit, is that they are waiting until after the Superbowl now. It is fully funded now via a different bonding bill and grants. It should be done early 2019 at the earliest. Oh, your post seemed more like a complaint, not an update - my bad. Seems that makes sense...

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
Renovation of the Mall of America Transit Station should happen after the superbowl. Has work started on this? It was supposed to be completed before the Superbowl, but the Legislature didn't pass a bonding bill last year, so work was delayed, as they waited for the funds to be appropriated during ...

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
It is both.I noticed that Metro Transit now posts rider alerts for when specific trips are canceled? I wonder if this is just general things like a brokedown bus, or if it is a larger issue, such as an operator shortage?

This article is so biased towards the buisnesses along West 7th. It does not actually inform the project about the project and the good that it will bring.

It just upsets me, you can't expect to live in a 1st ring suburb and expect density to never happen.

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
I'm hoping as well that they just use the same LRVs on Riverview, but just one or two car trains. Much easier operationally and establishes commonality in the light rail fleet. Although I wonder if the trains on Riverview will require flashing hazards and turn signals as I've seen on other tram/str...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
I like the idea also, but I think realistically it won't be changed as it will confuse riders. I think they should consider ditching the color scheme and adopt simple numbers (1,2,3,4,etc.) for the LRT and BRT lines. I was looking at some of the materials, and it seems that they are only considerin...
