Re: Bottineau Corridor (Blue Line Extension)
I'm not too disappointed with the chosen routing. I think it will offer great interurban connections with future build outs of the LRT system. There are a lot of people who live off Olson Memorial who are transit dependent and with the SW Corridor connections to Bryn-mar, Harrison and the job corrid...

Re: Mortenson Apartment Tower - (400 Marquette Avenue)
I like it, it's deffinately going to shore up the wall of buildings along 4th street and make more of a stark contrast between the DT core and the gateway district. Now if only we could get a park over there...

And by non-public BKV means the sides of the building that will be visible to the residence of Riverside Plaza. So, they'd rather give them a concrete slab to look at everyday from their windows than something moderately nice? I'd rather leave it open grass than let BKV build a new graffiti wall on ...

Re: The Virginia Triangle (Hennepin & Lyndale Bottleneck)
Likewise, I would be in support of some kind of traffic pattern change. I wonder if there would be a way to seperate Hennepin and Lyndale all together, have them cross at ether Grovland, Vinland or somewhere in between. The alignment I'm thinking would work is keep Lyndale on the west side of 94 and...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map
Could you add an extension up to Broadway and Lyndale? A stop right there would fill a massive void in the transit sphere for the city. I've raised this idea a few times on this website and frankly I'm surprised/disappointed it's received little to no intrest or discussion on any of these threads. A...

Yeah! What ever happened to composition? Comp is a major player in what makes art deco so appealing and other great works of architecture. I'm not saying you can't have good architecture without a properly composed site so long as it's intentional rather than overlooked.

Re: I-35W/I-94 Commons
It just occured to me that I would be in favor of expanding or rebuilding the Lowery tunnel not soaly for freeway expansion, but it would provide the perfect opportunity to redesign the Hennepin/Lyndale bottleneck. I know it would be even more expensive but it would bolster the economic vitality of ...

Re: Uber hits the Twin Cities
Minnesota state regulation's require limos to be more expensive than taxi's and to pick up passengers through prearranged pick-up's, meaning it's illegal for those town car drivers to steal fares from taxi's outside restaurants and hotels. It would also be a shame if everyone who use's Uber doesn't ...

Not a destination rich area yet. This bridge will be around for a long time and it will help anchor the north end of Mississippi river redevelopment that the city's been pushing for. Give it time.

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
There are no more plans for LRT. After Southwest and Bottineau get built, that's it. If the lines aren't on a Met Council map by now they aren't happening for a long time. We will actually just have 2 light rail lines in the Twin Cities, since Southwest is an extension of the Green Line (Central Co...

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
Unfortunately, the more successful the rail services are, the worse the Interchange will be for bus riders. That's because the Interchange is a logical transfer point from Southwest and Bottineau at least to Northside buses. These services will come in from the west and this is the first point they...
