Re: Kowalskis Market on Grand
The excavation is finally complete and the wall is up behind the store. You can now see how far back it will be extended. Interior work will begin in March and the Starbucks and wine/liquor shop in the front will begin in Spring.

Re: Stadium LRT Station, Ped Bridge & Plaza (MSFA block)
It should be named "Downtown East/Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium aka U.S. Bank Stadium at the Commons station"

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park
They fenced off the triangular section adjacent to the light rail station. WIll this just be more park and green areas? Looks like it's a different construction company though

Re: MSP Airport
Just witnessed a British Airlines 747 land. I tweeted at the airport asking why. I looked it up on my flight radar 24 and it was LHR to Mexico City, so maybe health issues or technical problems?

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt
I'm not a Wells Fargo member, but if I was, I'd be excited! There are times I wish I could withdraw a dollar or two, LOL, so this is big for those weirdos like me!

Re: Construction Webcams
I saw that too. I'm kind of hoping for a new interior Vikings stadium webcam from the oppostie side of the field. It would also be cool to see the other side of the Wells Fargo towers to watch Radisson red go up. I used to know someone who worked for Multivista, too bad he quit!!

Re: Target Field and Target Field Station Development
Taking away quite a few seats, but not like the Twins sell out anyways.. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/20564-changes-to-cf-at-target-field/ According to DSP this renovation will actually increase the capacity of Target Field since it will allow for more standing room tickets than seats being removed....

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
Someone may have already brought this up, but if you look on the webcam at the stadium view, does anyone else notice that the different sections of the roof are different tints? So if you look at the US Bank sign on the roof, the portion of the roof under "US Ba" is darker than the portion...

Re: Xcel Energy HQ - 401 Nicollet
Ah, remember the good old days when Xcel had people in Ren Square and US Bancorp Tower too? Always fun walking a few blocks down the mall to a meeting. #noskyway It's funny you say that, people still park at the Chestnut Service center and walk to G.O. and Marquette just so they have free parking. ...

Re: Xcel Energy HQ - 401 Nicollet
Xcel is the sole tenant. I work for Xcel Energy, and they posted a floor plan on the employee website for what will be in both the new and old HQ. They want to quit their lease with the Marquette building so a lot of the folks working in there will move to one of the two HQ's. I'd post a picture of ...

Re: Minnesota Vikings Headquarters - Eagan
Both are suburbs, both are filled with chain restaurants, chain bars, chain big box stores, suburban houses that all look the same, and neither have character. Though Eagan is more centrally located in relation to both downtowns, so there's that I guess. But in the end, they would never be able to f...

Yup, the tree as usual! And I think it's because it's the final, highest steel piece. Of course the doors are steel, but they aren't considered "beams". This will be the final beam placed.
