Re: Major League Soccer Stadium

The Forsyth Barr and Westpac stadiums on that page are both good (Westpac's in my home town). Forsyth Barr is interesting because it's "the world's only stadium featuring a natural grass pitch under a fully fixed roof." Worth investigating for a soccer stadium in Minnesota. Interesting. T...

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt

You're making it sound like Minneapolis is completely dark at night...

I think having lit signs on buildings would hardly make much of a difference.

Re: Target Center Renovation

This is a big project that does not come around often. We should make sure we do it right. The Barclays Center in New York is awesome and Minneapolis could have something similar.
Barclays Center cost about the same as US Bank Stadium to build (Over $1 billion)

Re: Google Maps

I'm using Google Maps Lite and getting 45° imagery right now!
Also the 3d models have expanded to some of the suburbs. Previously only downtown worked for me.

Re: Central Park Commons - Eagan

Well, for what it's worth, there is a "Central Park" across the street. They certainly could have been more creative though. But I think that ship has sailed.

Also, looks like they're now calling the project "Central Park Commons". Can we get a mod to update the thread title?

Re: Latitude 45 - 301 Washington Avenue South

They actually changed the address to 313 Washington Ave S from 301. The gal that gave me a tour this past weekend didn't seem to really know why, she said something about there being too many residences.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)

Perhaps this has been discussed, but would it be at all viable to do a trial run of "full priority" where the train always gets greens? I wonder what sort of response there would be in the community.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map

Target Field is already small enough as it is, thanks to the smallest upper deck in the majors. While I've been to Coors and love their new renovations, it wouldn't work at our park.
