That's a strange request, Twincitizen... but OK.To those that do post on both forums, I have a polite request:
Please, please, please stop using "Urban" to refer to this site. I don't know why exactly, but it bugs the crap out of me.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News
Do any of you have an idea of what might be physically possible to fix this building up? With it all being concrete, it's hard to guess what may be structural and what's just facade...

We don't?Newsflash (since I see a bunch of UrbanMSPers wrote in): We do not operate in a planned economy where the city government dictates exactly what will be built.

Did you update your router firmware? Mine was so bad, thought it was the computer, but all is well after the firmware update (directly connecting it to the computer).

A business model?Yeah, not to hate on this guy but he owns so many apartments and complexes there it sounds like he just doesn't want to risk price reductions of like maybe 100 $ on the apartments rent. He came there with some fancy business woman to prove his point.

Re: 14th and Central
Across the street is a massive piece of land. I'd hope for something much more ambitious than either of these proposals here. It could go a long way toward connecting the heart of the NE arts district with everything that's happening on Central.

Re: Grain Belt Terraces - (1215 Marshall Street Northeast)
This one has a big impact on the area. I think this would be a great place to live, especially with the proximity to Dusty's.

Re: Rental Concessions for Lux*ry Apartments
I'm hoping the incentives get really sweet in Sept/Oct, when my current lease is up. I'm ready to move beyond the $650-750/mo soiled carpet & smelly hallways life. It's a shame there's so little available in that medium range $800-$950 level in the Whittier area. Citywide even, there's not much...

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects
Dude, that's the point. I do care. We all care. It's interesting and exciting. But "I contacted the dude that can't share anything useful anyway" is an entirely empty post. Just like this one. What good is this attitude? Some of us find speculation to be the most fun thing on city forums....

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
Holy melodrama. SW as currently proposed is not some tragedy, nor is it "bad" transit. It's also not perfect. But it will help tens of thousands of people get around the metro more easily every single day. And it will change development patterns all along the line for the better. Your arg...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
Great post, and I agree. What can we do in this regard? We could build a trojan horse to infiltrate the Met Council... That's just my first idea. I may have others.
