I think that about sums it up.
I'd agree with the Sunday alcohol, but didn't we pass that against strong alcohol lobby opposition??

Re: Southwest LRT
A little hyperbole- Don't have to be so 'concrete'
Start video and start adding-Bridges, including a 3000 footer? Tunnels? Even if you call them 'under-crossings' it's still going to be wildly expensive

At one time, there was pics of original 'vision' for the walkway liked, IIRC, to Minnescraper- It included little stores/kiosks and such all along walkway.

Re: Southwest LRT
problem is, more stops= more time for one's commute, this lessens attractiveness of line.
Noticed streetcar rails on girard north of lake- it'd make sense to have rails off hennepin one block so traffic isn't another hwy 55 standstill

Drove from Rice to across Washington Ave Bridge.
Was surprised, after reading updates and % complete, how much remained; lotsa dirt, West of 280 and East of Lexington.
Can figure why Washington avenue bridge even remained open, only entrance was in middle of campus

Don't see the point. Trains (generally) run on time- IIRC, exceptions are listed on station marqueesAre they ever going to get NexTrip on these things?

Re: Dirigibles
My understanding is they are at mercy of weather, even moreso than fixed wing aircraft- I'm not sure what you do when high winds come up and you're a few hundred miles from your hangar. Reading History of Hindenburg, it got went out (ill-advised) once and suffered damage from winds- besides the obvi...

Re: Intercity rail to Chicago

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha)
I'm not sure what he was referring to there ...And that 4 minutes is a big deal when its such a pointless waste of time.
Obviously time is the name of the game in transit (unless we're touring the Alps).
