Here's a quickie from the balcony. Bonus dramatic clouds from yesterday. I'll try to walk around it later this week.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News

They had a bunch (majority?) of teppanyaki tables on the second floor, and an incredible vaulted ceiling. Really the whole restaurant was beautiful inside and out. I miss it dearly.

...they put coke in their Old Fashioned. Wut :? It was... not good, especially considering how good McKinney Roe's various Old Fashioneds were. They had a smokey one... Yum. I'm hoping Fhima's makes it till post-COVID. They've got an amazing smoked old fashioned named "TELEPHONE CALL FROM ISTA...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News

Bus Stop Brewhouse closed at some point in the past few months. There's a "For Lease" sign up now, so I guess it's permanent.
Mixed feelings about that place. They had a great burger and fries, but horrible (duck) wings. Good beer, but they put coke in their Old Fashioned.

NY Times article about the situation in Powderhorn park: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/24/us/minneapolis-george-floyd-police.html This portion is insanity: Mitchell Erickson’s fingers began dialing 911 last week before he had a chance to even consider alternatives, when two black teenagers who loo...

Re: 1400 Park Avenue

It's more likely that there was a case of COVID-19 on the crew than that they ran out of funding. If they let the place sit for a few days and do some cleaning it should be fine I would think?? One of the roofing employees. Cleaned house today, back to it on Monday. They will be screening all worke...

Hope this one didn't run into funding or some other difficulty. Workers stopped early yesterday afternoon and no work is happening today. Anyone heard anything?

Re: The Larking - 800 Park - 17 stories - 172'

This is under construction. They have been driving sheet piles all week. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk And hauling out soil like it’s on fire. We ran out of excess sand at our Lake Nokomis job today, so I tried to sneak a truck into here to get a load of sand. He got out of there with it, ...

Re: Twin Cities' National and Global Image

The Twin Cities metro has been having among the lowest growth rates of Covid-19 in the country.

Re: Wells Fargo Redevelopment - 801 Portland - 16 stories - 180'

Wells Fargo has moved in to their new digs. Yesterday evening the old Wells Fargo was blocked off and there was an excavator in the parking lot.
