Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting
UCS has been working around my south WBL neighborhood this spring. I tried searching to see if this could be fiber expansion but it doesn't seem to be according to my search. Some of the cement connection boxes do have "Centurylink" covers on them. Where would I look to see if they could b...

Wow! Zombie development rises! This is huge! It’ll be interesting to see the new master plan since it mentioned how office space is not as attractive as it was in 2019.

Metro Transit's service changes beginning June 11th:
https://www.metrotransit.org/quarterly- ... ay-june-11
Not very many changes this quarter. I was wondering if we'd see express bus frequency increases.

Changing the discussion a little. If the new terminus was Maplewood Transit Center, I think it would still be a good line. There is a huge potential for Maplewood Mall to be redeveloped. It is an underutilized mall.

I’ll be at the meeting tonight and let you all know what the outcome is. Are they allowing public comment? I emailed that mayor and city council the other day and got no response. They are not really taking comment. I got a response from one council member. Tonight’s result…. Tabled until next meet...

Metro Transit's service changes beginning March 26th: https://www.metrotransit.org/quarterly-service-changes-begin-saturday-march-26 Unfortunately a lot of service reductions. The phrase “to better match current ridership” is used a lot in that summary of changes. I saw in the connect newsletter th...

Once again a vocal minority with misinformation gets to decide. While we can debate all day about whether the routing into White Bear Lake is the best or if a new routing is better, the fact that this sudden turnaround can happen due to misconceptions and misinformation at a time when a proj...

Looks like the districts were renumbered. Is that typical? Will there be an official map that is this detailed? Is there a comparison version? I’d love to toggle back and forth to see how lines near me shifted.

Most of that is the recently (pre-covid) extended route 54. I wonder if that will be removed/shortened when Purple Line is operational.

Great map! Seeing it like this makes be wonder why the Hwy 36 BRT is not on the mid term plan. Copy route 270 but make it an all day service with a stop at Rosedale and maybe Rice St.

That sounds decent. IF office workers begin to come back this summer, we will see ridership explode. I really hope that Metro Transit can hire drivers and get back to pre-pandemic schedules. That problem feels a bit Chicken and Egg... if the schedules are not up, riders will chose to drive, but if r...

Additional parking lots around Rosedale are being filled with Shake Shack and a relocated Panera. https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-lifestyle/shake-shack-eyes-rosedale-center-for-its-5th-twin-cities-location Both restaurants want to have drive thru lanes.
