Re: Hennepin Avenue
I know it sounds corny but I really like those way finding signs that have the distances to all the other cities in the world and what direction they're in. That'd be cool to see somewhere on Hennepin, and it'd be cheap. Maybe you could just do Minnesota cities or something to make it more unique. A...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
I'm not so sure I would axe Mitchell, maybe make it a little smaller though. I think it will be a good reliever to Southwest Station. It will be able to catch a lot of people coming from the west (Chanhassen, Chaska) without overcrowding SW station, which we know will be overcrowded as it already is...

One month till occupancy. I really like this building. This area is going to have a bit of a head start when it comes to redevelopment brought on by SW LRT.

Re: Nic on Fifth - (455 Nicollet Mall)
Both this crane and the crane from Stonebridge make quiet an impression on the 35W bridge. These two buildings will really impact the skyline from that angle, especially if this has some nice lighting up top.

Re: MSP Airport
Spirit will be starting seasonal service to Denver in April. That brings the total number of airlines flying non-stop to DEN up to 5. Delta, United, Southwest, Frontier and now Spirit. Should make flying out to Colorado even cheaper :D Edit: Forgot to mention they will also start service to Dallas (...

Re: North Loop Neighborhood
Lets turn ourselves into some development or lobbying group and make that our headquarters. We could push local governments toward smart urban development and endorse pro transit politicians.

Re: Northstar
I don't know where all the hate for inter-city rail is coming from... But no one is saying they're going to fund this over the SW LRT so I'm not sure why that argument is being made. Connecting the larger MSA's in the state to the Twin Cities via inter-city rail would be great, I'm not sure of too m...

Well lookie here I found the press release from Mayo. Here's the snippet that describes the most of there plans. Major elements of the proposed DMC initiative fall into three categories: Mayo Facilities and Services Expansion. In 2012, Mayo Clinic announced that it intended to invest nearly $3.5 bil...
