Re: United North Loop Office Building - 729 Washington Av N

I think this one plans to break ground in late spring/ early summer. They have an aggressive schedule because leasing has been good and they need to get the building completed in time to meet a fall 2018 occupancy timeline.

Re: North Loop Neighborhood

The meters don't turn because office workers park and use the app to pay all day. Not sure about the price around Red Rabbit but around Freehouse along 3rd street they are 25 cents an hour which means you can park for an entire work day for a couple dollars. Even at $1 per hour it is reasonable for ...

Re: CPM North Loop Office Building - 419 Washington Ave N / 420 N 3rd St

I doubt this will move forward with the current design. I know people working on the project on the 700 block of Washington (next to Freehouse) and they have been "warned" to stay within zoning limits. They have made some slight modifications and plan to proceed within zoning limits. For b...

Re: Fiber Internet and TV Services, Cord Cutting

Hello Travis, Can you tell me if there are plans to come north of 44th street next year in Linden Hills? I just moved in to a house at 40th and Abbott Ave S and am already fed up with Comcast. I am doing a major addition and would love to provide a conduit for you guys if you plan to come up there. ...

Re: Minneapolis Armory

This doesn't surprise me. Ned Abdul has done this before as far as I know. In 2003 or 2004 he was the developer for 607 Washington Ave South and he cut windows in the wall on a zero property line when he didn't have permission to do so. He did it late at night to avoid detection presumably and the c...

Re: Nicollet Hotel Block

From the renderings this looks very preliminary and most importantly without real world detail. The glass curtain wall looks slick and clean but in reality will probably not look like that. I hope I am wrong but I am guessing the "look" here is a product of a quick rendering vs. real desig...

Re: 5th Avenue Flats - 500 4th Street N

Here is how it really worked. The entire site was purchased by a developer who hired an Architect to masterplan the entire site (James Dayton). The result was a slender midrise pushed to one side of the site allowing some green space and a future low rise building pushed to the other side of the sit...

Re: 729 Washington Av N

I like the design assuming it really is all brick as shown. I like the simplicity of the massing and fenestration. I like that it doesn't have a bunch of clutter like most of the recent efforts. I really like that the vast majority of the garage is screened with units and the garage entry is off the...

Re: 602 1st St N

I think these must be very high end. They are showing elevators opening directly into the units. Will be interesting to see if this gets financing. If it does well it could be a catalyst for other developers to finally look at Condos again.

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development

I like the lower building at the end of the park to preserve views but more importantly as a security/ surveillance mechanism for the park. It provides eyes on the park and a sense of ownership for the area close to the apartment building. A high rise would not do the same because once people get a ...

Does anybody know when the Whole Foods is supposed to actually open for business?
