Is there a reason why the lake & 35W exit constantly is really congested?

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics
It's frustrating yes but a little empathy goes a long way. If you don't have a sidewalk, it seems like a negative, you have to shovel it and it takes away from your yard. Of course, once you have sidewalks, most people like them. They desperately do need sidewalks west of France. I see some over in ...

Re: Embarrassing Confessions of Urbanists
Kinda boring but I think we can have good urbanism with attached garages on alleyways because for one, there are a lot really well done around 50th and lake Harriet, and they still have yards and alley access to the garage. Garage is nowadays much more than just car storage (bicycles, etc.). Conside...

We need a roundabout at MN-121 and 58th street S. The light cycle takes forever.

We also forget that Skyways improve walkability because you don't have to wait for traffic lights to cross streets too.

Re: 77th/76th Corridor - Richfield / Edina
It's not all that often that I use that stretch, but when I do (typically EB) it does get bad and then break up almost immediately after Cedar (this experience is usually on weekends between 10 am - 4 pm). The worst traffic on 494 I've ever experienced on a regular basis is EB 494 from Normandale t...

Re: 77th/76th Corridor - Richfield / Edina
Ugh, you city leaders, just rename to 77th and 76th consistently, don't need another stupid name like "American Boulevard" which is fat, gluttonous and embarassing anyway. I do like Canadian Boulevard though lol.

Re: Hiawatha Avenue Grain Elevators & Freight Rail Corridor
Dumb question: is the southern end of Uptown e.g. land near Lake street more valuable than further north near Franklin? E.g., do people want to live closer to Lake street than Franklin as far as Uptown goes or is it all about the same?

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics
St. Louis Park and Hennepin County really need to figure out what the F they're going to do with CR-25 here. My dream would've been to simply terminate the highway at Hwy. 100, forcing all Hwy 7 traffic to go either north or south on 100, meaning they could use Mtka Blvd or Excelsior to continue ea...

de-malled...lol!
Wishful thinking...but I notice this with New Urbanism in suburbs...they gotta make the roads smaller here. The roads are too damn wide. Similar feel in Richfield too. It just doesn't feel right having New Urbanism but still giant streets.

This road is super wide already and there's hardly ever any traffic on it. Surely 3 lanes would have been sufficient with street parking!! Grr!!

Re: Penn and American - Bloomington
Major lol after eading the hundreds of Strib comments--I never knew so many people loved this crappy mall! What completely baffles me is there is a much better mall (southdale) with a nice SuperTarget next door, just up the road., yet people voluntarily come here? Let's face it, the Target a...
