Unrelated - why the emphasis on Germany?
If you read the article, he said he was just in Berlin to visit the kid he used to have.

Re: Ford Twin Cities Assembly Plant Redevelopment

Does anyone know if they used the Ford spur RR to they remove all the construction debris from the site? I was just thinking that I don't remember seeing any trucks loaded up with constrution debris during the demolition process. I work across the street. Saw a good amount of trucks hauling debris ...

Re: Suburbs - General Topics

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but another Chick-fil-A is going in, this time in Eagan. Located off Yankee Doodle next to the TCF bank near Byerly's.

Also, Al Bakers will be torn down and a 4-story Holiday Inn will take its place.

Don't know if this was already announced, but this article says the Highland location (as well as the Apple Valley one) will close on 12/31.

Re: 2014 Election

If Jeb decides to run I don't see how he doesn't get the nom. He's got built-in fundraising. He's a more eloquent speaker than W. and also can speak fluent Spanish, which obviously would help pull in some votes.

Re: Robert Street Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)

Continuing my recent trend, here's my "Inver Grove" concept: - Original idea was the ca. 1991 Scoping Document for the "St. Paul South" LRT line, followed up by the 2007-08 study of which I loosely based mine on Alternative 4. - Crosses the river via Wabasha Ave (likely an expan...

Re: Rumors!

OK then.

Back on the topic of the convention center hotel tower, does anyone know more about the nuts and bolts of such a proposal? How far along in a project are they when images like this are produced? Are they purposefully made outrageous/striking just for the sake of making an impression?

Re: Rumors!

Fuck anyone that gives Grant shit over age. And I'm not going to sugar-coat that or calm my language, either, it's not worth it. I wish everyone could give a shit about their community even half as much as he does. I see so many armchair activists here yet he's one of the few actually willing to ge...

Re: Rumors!

I've been on this board for a few months and I'm really surprised at the amount of people that act like they've never been on the internet before. Get some thicker skin, people. The "easily offended" crowd is represented here very well. The shots thrown around I've seen are very tame. Just...

Re: Farmers Market Soccer Stadium

I'm not sure what the MLS season is, but I assume it's over the summer similar to MLB. Could this be programmed in the winter as the neighborhood develops around it? It could host a few skating rinks with a walking trail or xc ski loop around them. I'm not familiar with their schedule either. Accor...

Re: Rumors!

The reality of the situation at this point is that multiple people have requested they be taken down. That's all. It's a simple request. I would hope that we're all adults who can respect those requests, regardless of any ifs ands or buts. That hope may be in vain. These last dozen posts should pro...

Re: Ford Twin Cities Assembly Plant Redevelopment

A lot of racket going on over at the Ford Site the past few days. Big piles of dirt and concrete removal. Just got this email about a community meeting regarding the site. Saint Paul Ford Site: Creating a 21st Century Community Mayor Chris Coleman and City Councilmember Chris Tolbert cordially invit...
