Re: Suburban Malls and Associated Retail News

I do wonder how long that Sears will stay open at MOA. It's usually pretty dang quiet in there, even when the rest of the mall is busy.

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure

They already have no parking in front of Mother Earth Gardens on 38th Street. I'm assuming trucks park there when they're making deliveries and that's why they don't want this?

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map

I tried to go to Barre five weeks ago and it was closed. The Journal is right on top of things. Apparently no one else noticed as well, which is probably why they closed.
I didn't even know the name changed to Barre. Went to Mason's a handful of times, food was always good.

Re: Accessory Dwelling Units

Yeah, that looks really awkward. It looks like there's room for a sfh in the front yard, but obviously that's a much more expensive way to go. I didn't read really close but did it mention any changes to the outside of the current home. If they matched, it might not look quite as bad. That mural tho...

Re: Car Sharing / Rental (Car2Go, HourCar, etc.)

Car2Go and gone: Legislation aims to lure more car-sharing services to TC Now a bill introduced at the Legislature would exempt car-sharing firms like Car2Go from paying motor vehicle rental taxes and fees in Minnesota. If the bill passes, its supporters hope Car2Go would come back to the Twin Citi...

I call bs on those renderings. The vegetables appear fully stocked and there is no visible wilt on any of them.

I get the paper copy on the weekend. I thought about calling and cancelling but in the end I paid for many of the reasons others have said. Promotional pricing is the worst though and doesn't really make one feel like being too loyal of a customer.

I love the shared cost part. Hopefully the Vikings are allowed to put up advertising on the fence in order to make back their extremely generous contribution to the construction.

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station/Lander Development

Does anyone know the occupancy of the apartments near 38th and 46th? I'm sure if there is demand for more units builders would try to get a variance. Or build on the eastside of Hiawatha.

Von Maur would be awesome. I used to go there back when I lived in EP. Way more organized than Macy's, not as expensive as Nordstroms.

Do you have to sign up before you get to see what channels you get and get details about the service? Website won't let me do anything but sign up for my "free" trial. https://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/07v6EVzkK4uzby8Y2OIU3DKdOzo=/800x0/filters:no_upscale()/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_...
