Re: Shakopee - Savage - Prior Lake - Scott County
Here’s an article about everything happening in Shakopee in 2021. Lots of new development. https://www.swnewsmedia.com/shakopee_valley_news/news/keep-an-eye-out-for-these-shakopee-developments-in-2021/article_3deccde7-a08e-545d-a73d-5b1ef7d5d58e.html?fbclid=IwAR09-OxOLBiJmxRQgFUnX-xx-CJWnDUXzF_bhjl8...

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
If any of you commute on Highway 10 through Anoka and Ramsay you're in for a world of hurt starting next year and running through ~2025 as three projects get underway. First is the project rebuilding Highway 10 from West Main to Thurston. West Main bridge gets replaced and exit ramps get round-abou...

This was an old mall too. So a little ahead of the trend of malls becoming housing?

Re: Riverview Corridor Streetcar
I've always said the CP Spur is such a NO BRAINER, I am amazed that they are trying to squeeze this into W 7th.
If they chose to shift to the CP Spur and dedicated ROW for the river crossing, could we see this shift from "modern streetcar" to LRT?

Re: Arterial Bus Rapid Transit Corridors
As more aBRT lines begin operation, I don’t see why Red, Gold, and Rush(purple?) are colors instead of letters. To me, it seems it will confuse the casual rider. Anything with a dedicated guideway or highway BRT will have a color to denote the difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks f...

Re: Downtown Riverfront - Mill Ruins Park - Waterworks
I don't know that I realized how low the water level was going to drop. This says the river was 12 feet lower than normal! Some awesome pictures included in the story below. I'm sad I missed it. https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-lifestyle/photos-rare-drawdown-of-the-mississippi-river-in-minneapol...

Re: IDS Center
This looks like the trees stay where they are. Currently there are four benches that make a square planter around each tree. The new design has a more scattered seating. I think the reason the fountain was away from the mall entrance is because it is in the tallest part of the atrium. I notice the r...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
Isn’t that almost a 2 hour ride? I’ve tried to use Green Line from events in Minneapolis over to the capital then transfer to a bus or Uber. It’s insanely long and slow.

Stadium is shut-down for everything, but the Vikings for the rest of the year. Does anyone know when they'll be done with the repairs? I wouldn't be surprised is ASM Global goes under. Managing a lot of empty stadiums right now. https://www.startribune.com/coronavirus-has-shut-down-u-s-bank-stadium...

When the SWLRT platform is basically going to be on the property line... it feels like a max parking ratio should be 1:1.

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
A lot of respondents already have a monthly bus pass, and caffeine is always welcome. How about a choice of a free day pass, fee weekend pass, or $5 off a monthly pass? (It would be interesting to know what percentage of riders have monthly passes.) Or support local businesses. Much like local taxi...

Re: Rush Line Corridor BRT
This design does fee closer to the “light rail on wheels” that is often discussed with BRT but it is the other segments that concern me with this line. A 40+ min travel time from WBL to St Paul is just too long. Eventually we will have to figure out how to make this line and green line faster to att...

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
What are you working from home folks doing with transit passes? I’m debating finally canceling mine. It is only an option to start or stop about a month in advance. I have until May 10 to cancel for June. But then when I want to restart, I’d have to re-enroll by the 10th the month preceding. Will tr...

I appreciate how the community of the forums is not heavily moderated. What is the goal of your committee? To me,...
