Re: Metro Transit Service Improvement Plan 2014
My idea for the 4/15 would be for all 4's to cross the river but terminate relatively quickly at 8th St and 10th Ave SE (or somewhere like that). Then route the 15 to continue south on 10th Ave SE (rather than 8th St and Hennepin) and interline it with the 3 into downtown. This would provide an addi...

Re: "Desire Paths": Greatest Hits Collection in MN
I'm not sure if this is a desire path or a maintained path in limbo. It shows up on Google Maps but not on Shoreview's trail map. Anyway, I always enjoy a clearly ignored "no trespassing" sign. https://www.google.com/maps/@45.050248,-93.138046,3a,37.9y,1.64h,77.02t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1saHrC...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)

Re: Rush Line Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
Do we know that it would be impossible to co-locate the trail and light rail in Swede Hollow? According to Google Earth, the Hiawatha trail and light rail takes up less than 50' underneath I-94 (measuring from edge of trail to edge of railbed). This would seem to fit in the ROW that the county owns ...

Re: Rush Line Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
I went to last night's open house in Maplewood. It sounds like they are really looking for input so I would recommend submitting comments online to help push them toward a rapid transit outcome rather than fancier express buses to P&R's (unless that's what you want). I put my destination sticker...
