Team owners would like construction to begin around June 1, but some councilors are concerned they don't have enough information to vote on the proposal responsibly.

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium

Stupid Atlanta. There is a CAC meeting tomorrow from 4-6pm if anyone is interested. Everyone is hoping for some renderings and site plans. Nick Rogers spoke at a Rotary Club meeting this morning in Chanhassen and it sounds like renderings are a couple weeks away. They are in the mindset that they w...

The Wilf's saved the Vikings for Minnesota I'll have to send them a thank you card. No, you'll be thanking them by calling them the MINNESOTA Vikings, going to a game in downtown MINNEAPOLIS from time to time, and watching them on TV. I won't be doing either. The Wilfs original share $477 million s...

I most likely missed this in the thread. But, what are they building at the SW corner of the 394/100 junction?

Re: Southside - General Topics

Still waiting for something to open in the Oaks Station Place spot. Serious tax money went here, and what happened to it? What ever happened to the restaurant that was supposed to open there? I'm also disappointed the commercial lot at Longfellow Station still sits empty. Something like Longfellow ...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

Can someone explain why the four corners of each scoreboard are left open? Not actually seeing what you are talking about, but I'd say those area will be for advertising money making. Based on my experience designing scoreboards for stadiums, you're most likely right in that they'll be fixed advert...

Check out the map of the proposed service area (last page): https://stpaul.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=4167603&GUID=983223C6-D3D6-4EC6-B744-305FCB9DFAF3 Yikes. That's a really drastic reduction. If a similar reduction were made in Minneapolis, I'm not sure we would really use our membersh...

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)

Just heard an announcement at Govt Plaza Station that there was another accident at 46th Street Station. Can anyone confirm? My wife says it looks like it since the trains are stopped, but couldn't tell what type of accident it was. Not again! We're hearing reports that a @MetroTransitMN train hit ...

Re: Stadium LRT Station, Ped Bridge & Plaza (MSFA block)

Yes, I think the Met Council knows that this is a demonizing headline. More Taxpayer Waste!! SEE!!!!!!! What people seem to forget is that while this may be tough to swallow, it makes a hell of a lot more sense to build this now - in 2016, instead of waiting until the Green & Blue Line extensio...

Re: Northern Lights Express

Not directly related to NLX, but:

Jefferson Lines is increasing Minneapolis-Duluth service to three daily round trips.

Looks like there's demand, even at normal highway speeds.
I could've sworn there was three round trips back in 2012 when I lived in Duluth.

Windows are uncovered in both the Sports Authority and Saks Off 5th spaces. You can see the escalators have been delivered for Saks.

It appears the old Bennigan's on Wayzata Blvd has been sold. The for sale sign came down last week and the were doing some environmental sampling a few months back.
