Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

True. That area brought outrage when the Weston was proposed over Galleria.

However, one of my customers lives in Grandview Square, she was positively excited about the possibility of the towers here, and the possibility of the lid.

Re: Grandview District Redevelopment - Edina

The intersections at 100/55 and 100/7 have each been formerly four leaf cloverleaf intersections and are now filled with stop lights. Now much harder for cars to move through. The Eden-50th intersections are designed as they are now because of a past usage pattern that no longer exists, when Vernon ...

The city economic development manager is seeking council resolution to seek Hennepin county grant money to match for initial engineering cost for recovery of 8-acres of TH 100 ROW with reconfiguring the 50th-Eden Ave intersections and capping TH 100 with a express bus parking garag...

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map

Attitudes in Edina and Bloomington might have changed enough to get the dumb law removed but some of the physical context around this line that caused the law in the first place hasn't. It mostly goes through residential neighborhoods and very close to homes on both sides on a single track. It's dum...

The light rail on the Dan Patch will have to be in the realm of fantasy because the State legislature had forbid any plans or analysis of passenger rail on this line.

Legislators from Bloomington and Edina were behind that.

Parklets

So there is even a thing called Park(ing) Day. A day once every year to take the space of on street metered parking and make it a parklet http://parkingday.org/

Hopkins is going to install one for a few days for Park(ing) Day.

This area is East Lake Street's version of West Lake Street's K-Mart.
With the anonymous, distant, detached, unreachable, uncaring (except for reliable income) landowners, maybe a worse mess in some ways. :/
