Re: Minneapolis Fiber Internet and Cable Services

I know at Lime we are only allowed to have shitty MultiBand, and it's been terrible. They did some upgrades a bit ago and it improved some, but I was really kind of surprised they would have such an awful carrier be the only option.

Re: Latitude 45 - (301 Washington Avenue South)

I don't know why I hate it, but I HATE the black cladding on the upper floors on the back of the building. I have to look at it from Capella every day and it's terrible. Do they do that for cost savings? I guess it's like that on 222 in the above picture too.

Re: Nicollet Mall Reconstruction Project

Does anyone know if there's going to be a curb cut to access the Loring Greenway from Nicollet Mall by bike? That connection is pretty frustrating right now.
Are bikes allowed on the greenway? I never knew for sure so I always use the street.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map

What a beautiful building, I really wish we had more of these gems in Minneapolis. Returned from a three day trip to Chicago last week and was green with envy over all of the charm the buildings have there.

Re: Uptown Retail & Restaurant News

^^ I was wondering if that would be in the works, I did notice that there were two addresses on the doors walking by. Has it always been like that or was it a single address when Tatters was there?

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)

I'm moving to Loring Park myself in June and am very excited for these additions to the neighborhood. Also, LK&B is almost ALWAYS busy, I am with you all who agree this place won't have a problem, even if it is going in to fill apartments, my guess is it's around to stay.

Noticed today walking in that the tall portion of the screening was placed just so that it will basically block Loews from basically any point on Hennepin. Intentional? Reasoning?

Re: Elan Uptown (all phases) - 2837 Emerson Ave

I have a friend who moved into the first building when it opened, top floor, downtown facing, 2 bedroom. Said he loves it. I am pretty sure he still works there. I also know his unit was quite expensive.

I wouldn't be surprised if Espresso Royale ever wanted another University location as the one in Dinkytown is ALWAYS packed.

Re: City Center

So really, if we could just get these opened up again it might not be SO bad. I also really like the two story corner entrances and have always though that they could have a cool street presence if they were redone correctly. I don't think I was around Minneapolis for any of those stores so I don't ...

Re: City Center

Walking by City Center on my way to work, I've noticed that some of the sections aren't the same concrete(?) material but they are a paneled wood wall, some of them look like they are hinged and could be opened as well. Anyone have a clue what these are actually all about? https://www.google.com/map...

Re: Latitude 45 - (301 Washington Avenue South)

I was walking by on my lunch just now as I posted that and it smelled like those black snake "fireworks" I had as a kid. Not sure if that gives any clue to what it might be, but shortly after several firetrucks came racing through.

Re: Calhoun Square

I guess I just feel like, with most (if not all) of the stores on Hennepin and Lake both having interior and exterior entrances, more people are going to enter through one of those stores and find themselves drawn into the mall through the other entrance. I like the position of the new door and LOVE...
