Re: Saint Paul - General Topics
I spoke with Sue at Subtext last week. It sounds like they are hoping to "bleed" into that space, mostly for used books and maybe some other type of "creative" venture. That space was just fixed up recently for no particular tenant, but presumably so it could be marketed for rent.

Re: St. Paul Restaurant News
I'm a little skeptical. I heard they were moving into that space back around June 2014, and yet zero work has been done there. I sure hope the space is used for commercial or retail and doesn't get converted into apts.

Re: HealthPartners neuroscience center (295 Phalen Blvd)
The one-story building used to be an outpatient rehab center and is already demolished (rehab moved out to the east side on Suburban Ave by Target).

Yes, same place as Tacos Nachos and Beer. It already seems this place is doing better business.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
When I boarded today at Dale heading east, the 3-car train was all Type I cars, and they definitely went back west again after getting to SPUD. Is the weather putting even more strain on the fleet numbers of the Green Line that they are adding "blue line" cars as well?

Re: Rush Line Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
It could turn east at Beam and then north on Southlawn and back west along County Rd D back to the trail ROW. I used to live a block from here and there is no reason for the Beam station to be next to a Costco, Kohlman Creek, and a new CarMax.

Re: *F antasy maps
That maps shows just about exactly what I'd envision for these lines as well, although it might be more feasible to have Gateway and Rush terminate behind the SPUD head house rather than in front. I hope Rush can take this street routing, but given Gateway through out all proposals that did so, I'm ...

Re: Seven Corners Gateway Site
Well, I certainly hope they still build as much as they originally intended on the 7 Corners Hardware site, since the store closed in the process of that deal. What a shame if they build something more watered down and a beloved hardware store closed in the process (even though it sounds like they w...

Re: St. Paul Skyway System
I live downtown St Paul, and most fellow residents seem to use the skyway to get around. I usually take the sidewalk though, as long as the weather isn't incredibly awful (plus the skyway won't get me all the way to work anyway).

Re: Saints Lowertown Ballpark
With the amount of crazy (awesome) antics and promotions at Saints games, I think CHS could build that recognition they're looking for. The variety within CHS is probably an asset with respect to options for promotions. Plus…a farm coop company ties in well with the Farmer's Market next door and the...

Re: St. Paul Restaurant News
I noticed that Bin Wine Bar closed and is moving to Linden hills. Anyone know if there is anything planned to go in that space? Nothing I've heard thus far. Bin seemed to close rather abruptly. I'm not too sad, as I've not had good experiences with their service. It shouldn't take too long to fill ...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
Another side swipe of a left turner on University. Channel 11 had comment from the automobile driver. Epic. Let's not forget that it's actually illegal to pull out into the intersection unless you can make it ALL the way across immediately. No hanging out in the intersection waiting to make a turn....

Re: Rayette Building - (261 Fifth Street East)
The Strip Club's new sister restaurant, Saint Dinette, is now locating in this building, instead of the Lofts at Farmers Market. Good fit for them I think.
