Re: Bicycle Infrastructure

All the more reason to send a letter of support to the decision makers requesting that this N-S bike lane moves forward to counteract the Nextdoor detractors.

Re: Calvary Church re-development

Nice. For what it is worth, a UCC church in Saint Louis Park at 37th St. and Alabama Ave proposed affordable apartments on the parking lot. The Elmwood neighborhood had a lot of rage. But the city approved it. This could be a trend! Elmwood was just doing it's Elmwood thing. Gotta respect the consi...

Re: the question of yet-to-be-developed parcels, I'm really surprised that the Lynlake parking lot RFP (for the parking lot behind the former Fuji-Ya) was canceled and that this acre (!) of land still hasn't attracted any interested parties. I personally think LynLake has more of that lively, alter...

Shutting down the parkways around the lakes and the creek to car travel permanently with gates or jersey barriers would really improve the park system for pedestrians and bikers.

It was so cool to experience the parks without having to worry about drivers last year.

Re: 4601 Minnehaha Ave S

And it's a 10 year liability for condo developers verse a 1 year liability for new construction home builders. My guess is that the condo builder needs to carry insurance on each build which then needs to be factored into the sale price. Hence when you do see new condos, their prices are inflated ov...

Well the neighborhood NIMBY-Nextdoor coalition got the rent increased for the future tenants of this project (5 units removed for 8 second floor parking spaces).
