Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
I'd also like to see the 30,000 or so people who may use this line daily against the 300 who protested against the line.....would have made for a more fair representation! Nobody is saying there shouldn't be light rail. It is all about colocation versus relocation at the cost of $123,000,000. The s...

Re: Vikings Stadium
I actually kind of like the large scoreboard hanging up high enough that traffic outside can see it.

Re: 222 & Whole Foods - (222 Hennepin Avenue)
I think that there will be a lot of people in the area that will actually save money by shopping at the new Whole Foods. I work in the area at an apartment building it has a small market nearby. I know there is another owned by the same man about 1/2 mile away as well, and it is suprising what the r...

Re: How do you primarily get around?
Live in St. Louis Park and work in Bloomington so I drive. I tried biking to work, but there isn't a great route to work that is safe. The fact that my job is somewhat physical and I'm on my feet most of the day also makes biking to work tough.

Re: Surly Brewery Site
I just spoke to someone "in the know" and he told me that they are still reviewing the sites, but leaning toward the U of M site. We should know pretty soon.

Re: Vikings Stadium
You sound like my 12 year old. It's gonna suck! It can't be worse than what is there now.Pretty sure the stadium is going to suck from an urbanist perspective regardless. I do hope we don't build a giant barn.

Re: Adagio at Hoigaard Village - St. Louis Park
I really hope that the city has a plan in place for the added traffic from this project, TowerLight , and the future phase of Hoigaard Village. At the very least another stop light on 36th will be necessary. I understand that some of this is being built with the SW rail in mind, but that seems to be...

Yes, it is pretty much against the south parking area at Hoigaard Village and directly north of the Four Firkins.

Re: Vikings Stadium
In a print out of the drawing, the tailgating area appears to have 2 football fields drawn on it. I can't see how horrible it would be to have a park that during non game days could have kids and adults playing football or soccer. Better than a parking lot in my opinion.

Re: 350 North Fifth Street
I like the look of it and think it's great for that spot. My only question is how reflective this will be and is it going to be positioned in a way that it will cause glare for the fans and/or players in the stadium as the sun sets?

One article says a possible partially retractable roof. That should be interesting.

Re: Minneapolis Skyway System
Rochester's system, to me, is the most vital system due to all of the Mayo buildings. My parents were down there a couple of months ago and it was so necessary for my Mom and her wheelchair to get from appointment to appointment and back to the hotel. They couldn't say enough nice things about how e...
