The votes are weighted for 2016-2020 as follows: Anoka County: 10 Dakota County:13 Hennepin County: 47 Ramsey County:18 Washington County: 7 Metropolitan council: 5 The weighting is done based on population and sales tax revenue with the met council getting 5 votes and one seat. I am not sure what h...

Re: 1400 Park Avenue
In the document they say they plan to demolish it (Page 2).Has anyone heard if this little Victorian is going to be demolished or moved? There's a perfectly-sized vacant grass lot right across the street owned by PPL. Could it really cost much extra?

Re: Prospect Park - General Topics
Just went on a walking tour of development around the Prospect Park station done by PP2020. The tour starts with a presentation on PP2020's vision for the area and how they have interacted with developers and concludes with a 45 minute walking tour of the area north of university between Malcolm Ave...

Re: Stadium Village 26-Story Tower (Harbor Bay Real Estate)
I am curious when Big 10 and Abdul's Afandy will leave. I ate at Big 10 2 days ago and when I asked my waiter about the apartment building he claimed they had no plans to move or close and had not even gotten an offer from the developer to buy out the rest of their lease which goes for another 3 yea...

Re: New Kraus-Anderson HQ (9th St. S/5th Ave. S)
They're digging out (reconfiguring?) the access ramp again today. Does anyone know: once all the footings are in place and backfilled, do they lift the excavators out of the hole with a crane? I'm irrationally excited to see how this works. Construction is awesome. KA had a blog post about this a w...

Re: Solhem Project - 721 1st St N
I assume someone in the neighborhood group that gave the initial presentation against will appeal they seemed to me to be one of the more organized opposition groups I have seen though that is not a high bar. I would agree that based on the testimony its hard to see those who presented against this ...

It will be just to the west of it. The apartment building is not that wide. At least according to this picture.

I believe the slab on the east side is for the elevator pit of the apartment building and the white polls are support columns for the parking structure and buildings above.

Re: Stadium Village 26-Story Tower (Harbor Bay Real Estate)
Kind of surprised by this (maybe I shouldn't be) but the U of M has a letter at the end saying they are strongly opposed to the building due to height (would prefer 4 to 6 story), potential for disruption to Washington Ave (because of shadowing and wind at street level again due to height), increase...

There is another station near Lexington parkway that I have just added. The detailed images show no station but the overview image does which is why I missed it.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
Daudt is apparently willing to add transit provision to bonding bill if Hennepin County covers the states share of the operating costs as well as capital costs. Still would like to know where it says that Hennepin can't contribute more then 10%. Also is the state currently on the hook to cover half ...

Re: Prospect North Gardens - 2901 4th Street SE (Cornerstone development)
I was told a few months ago by someone on the Prospect Park zoning committee that Aeon needs a HUD grant before moving forward and was not chosen in the last round of funding and so is in a holding pattern until it can get a grant. As far as the 2901 4th Street site is concerned I'd imagine (or at l...
