BTW, the wrecking permit was issued back on March 27... so they're probably pretty good to go.

Re: West Elm Hotel

A thing I found. Probably just one of several proposals? But it gives a sense of what they're planning.

Re: 66th Street - Richfield

Is Lyndale going to reduce to one lane as you enter the roundabout on each side (it looks like two lanes to the north and south)? Or will Lyndale be reduced to one lane in each direction some time in the future?

A place called 'Wendo's Fry and Burgers' popped up on Google Maps recently. Anyone know anything? https://www.google.com/maps/place/Wendo's+Fry+And+Burgers/@44.9833501,-93.2710435,21z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xec906551c207ce26!8m2!3d44.9833893!4d-93.2711859 Curious. Re: Unsafe Pedestrian Crossings with Mitigation Strategies (RRFB's, HAWK's, etc.)

Sorry if I've misunderstood your request (if you're only looking for info on crossings that already have warning lights/beacons...). I think the newish crosswalk at 8th Ave N and Washington Ave N is an example of one that mostly doesn't work, and I'd love to see the addition of warning lights. Simpl...

Where does the new skyway go/ which one are they replacing? It looks like it's a new one that would connect to Ramp A (http://minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/public/@cped/documents/webcontent/wcmsp-171830.pdf): "A third skyway, from the southwest, is under consideration as part of the design that...

Re: 77th/76th Street Corridor - Richfield / Edina

Couldn't it be both numbered and named (but officially one or the other)? I'm thinking of Kings Highway/Dupont Avenue/46th Street area as an example. The Hennepin County site lists all of those addresses as Dupont Ave, but I'm betting the residents use Kings Highway. But I suppose if it's "offi...

Alright, I'm feeling more free to talk about it, I'm going to be a server at tullibee and the entire hewing staff has been training quite intensively for almost two weeks now. This place is going to be stunning. The amount of effort and research and craft that has gone into this project is staggeri...

Another more casual food place coming to the North Loop: Rise Bagel Co. Possibly in the old Indigo space?

Naegele! Home of the Marlboro billboards! I'm really aging myself as an old Millenial now, aren't I?
I grew up in Richfield and completely forgot about Naegele!! That's a flashback.

OK, who wants coffee! On a 43 mph, 6-laner.
The Eastside patio is significantly closer to that "6-laner" and is usually pretty full, so I don't think it's an issue.

Re: North Loop Neighborhood

It is the white brick building.

They sent the schedule to the residents in my building - demo does start this week (the equipment is on site), and full occupancy is expected in October 2017.

It doesn't have its own thread yet.

Utility boxes on the front corner? Now that's just some lazy cost-cutting.
This shouldn't be allowed by zoning code. Lazy, cheap and unsightly.
Well, because the parking is on the other side, I guess this could be considered the back of the building. :/

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News

Hopefully new owners can bring a different level of concept into the space at some point. There's strong demand for more casual dining (Freehouse, Red Cow, etc.) in the North Loop. It's possible the same parent company of Shag/Rojo still holds the lease, so we may be getting something similar as fa...

What is with the histrionics on that forum (do a little research before assuming the worst)?? Like EOst said - the pavers are being salvaged and re-laid. One only has to look at the work they're doing on 6th to see that they're removing the brick pavers, placing them on palettes (and then wrapping t...

The example image of that RH building is horrifying. Like a giant Tuscan Spanish Southern France McMansion. Years ago I sort of liked Restoration Hardware. Then they went through their format change and I visited the remodeled store at the Galleria and the furniture was all gigantic! Like yuuuuge! T...

Re: North Loop Neighborhood

Just saw an email that HCMC is opening a clinic and pharmacy in North Loop's TractorWorks building (800 Washington Ave N). Nice to see more services trickling to that side of the neighborhood. That's great. Any idea where in the building? There is at least one large empty street-level space on Wash...
