This article is so biased towards the buisnesses along West 7th. It does not actually inform the project about the project and the good that it will bring.

It just upsets me, you can't expect to live in a 1st ring suburb and expect density to never happen.

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
I'm hoping as well that they just use the same LRVs on Riverview, but just one or two car trains. Much easier operationally and establishes commonality in the light rail fleet. Although I wonder if the trains on Riverview will require flashing hazards and turn signals as I've seen on other tram/str...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
I like the idea also, but I think realistically it won't be changed as it will confuse riders. I think they should consider ditching the color scheme and adopt simple numbers (1,2,3,4,etc.) for the LRT and BRT lines. I was looking at some of the materials, and it seems that they are only considerin...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
Enough with the Midtown Corridor. There's already a thread on it, go discuss it there. This is about Riverview. Anyways, what will Riverview be named? The glorified bus on Cedar Avenue/Highway 77 got a color, so I think Riverview deserves a color. I am under the impression from the attending one of...

I believe that the Rush Line corridor is going to be called the Purple Line. They requested it in their documentation. The purple line!

Re: D Line - Fremont/Emerson/Chicago Rapid Bus
That is the correct choice, in my mind. It'll be frustrating to have to stop at the light at Lake immediately after boarding, but far-side boarding isn't really an option there, with the transfer point being the transit center. Is the 5 going away, or staying on like the 84/16 have? If it is going ...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
Build the Riverview corridor as is, with a straight shot to the airport. Build the Midtown LRT Phase 1 from West Lake (Green) to Lake St. (Blue). Build the Midtown LRT Phase 2 from 46th Street to Sibley Plaza, so that Midtown ultimately runs from Hopkins to downtown Saint Paul. Problem solved. ^^^T...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
Does that mean streetcar along the length of W 7th instead of using the hybrid/CP Rail option? That seems like a bad idea. I don't think they could justify the cost difference with only saving a minute between using W 7th or the CP Spur. I am just glad that it isn't serving the ford site, since tha...

Caught a glimpse of one of the new C Line articulated bus going Southbound on 35W last week near the UofM operating as a route 250! Was driving, so no picture... I work for MT, we have one articulated bus painted like an A Line(aBRT) because we were going to run it for the state fair, but due to co...

Re: C Line - Arterial Rapid Bus & Penn Ave Community Works Project
I've seen a aBRT painted bus running through downtown recently displaying "C Line Testing" on its display boards. Is that the same one you're talking about, or is that an actual new C Line bus? Yes this is the same one from the fair, they are still putting the plans together for the C Lin...
