Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Good riddance, I hope this pressures the IDS landlords to really think about their now two massive empty corners. The corner across from this in Gaviidae has been empty for over a decade, Dayton's is still real empty, 801 Steakhouse put their bathrooms on the corner of Nicollet (I hope they go bust ...

Good riddance to anyone who wants to leave Nicollet. Now break this up into 5 different spaces and let the magic happen.

No it wasn't? Golden rods, docks, switchgrass, etc were all living on that lot. I'm pretty sure someone may have thrown some seeds down on the site with the rate at which it grew.

The amount of development going on along the Green Line corridor is kinda nuts and hard to keep track of.

Re: Uptown-LynLake-Wedge - News & General Topics

That was true in 2013 when it was a great multi-tenant building. Since then, Cowboy Jacks really screwed that building up. Uptown Tavern is also not a great floor plan, as the floor is literally raised off the sidewalk about 2-3 feet. If this were to get new businesses it would likely be 2 very simi...

We could try having cops do their actual jobs too, but they don't like us anymore because we told them to maybe cool it with aggression.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Lol Target closes at 6pm, I literally couldn't support them when I LIVED downtown. Get out of here with all this pro-corporate shit. Target Lake St. was looted and they rebuilt the entire store to make it better. This whole store has been a middle finger to our downtown.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Meanwhile the State St Target in downtown Chicago remains virtually the same as pre-pandemic. Whole Foods on Hennepin and Washington is open until 10pm and all their organic fancy foods and lotions are not locked up. This company really decided to say f--- you to downtown Minneapolis, and I find it ...

Introducing the U Line
I've got an idea that I think would work wonderfully. With the immense development happening in NE, University and Downtown, we really need something connecting all 3 with no transfers and high frequency.

Map here:

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Bring back the Gopher Bar! I'm only celebrating because it seems like the reviews and quality has dropped significantly. It doesn't seem like it was a draw for folks anymore, and rather just existed. I want something here that will draw in people like a Red Rabbit or Billy Sushi. The restaurants on ...

It's crazy right. I go up north to go hiking and collect wildflower seeds locally to plant around the city - and yet I'm still angry about the corruption in our city government.
