Re: Orange Line / 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown Project

Today was the first time I took the orange line. Why on earth does this bus not connect to the Burnsville trans station?

Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)

I agree. The station should have a named Southloop station. It would definitely help more with wayfinding.

Re: Hennepin Avenue Reconstruction (Douglas to Lake St)

This is really exciting. It’s really nice to see that they are moving forward with the Hennepin reconstruction. My question is: how are they going to keep people from driving in the bus lanes, especially during peak hours? May they look at putting traffic cameras up that can detect if people are dri...

  • 2 towers with 234 units (18 and 12 stories from the picture)
234 total, or each tower having 234 units?

Re: Allianz Field and Snelling-Midway Development

As long as the parking podium is wrapped in retail or active uses, that’s ok with me. In an ideal world, there would not be parking podiums.

Re: Forum Integration Committee

I was on Minnescraper back when that was a thing, and on UrbanMSP from its start. I don't want or need anybody's integration, board of directors, mission statement, etc. Frankly I don't read streets.mn on a regular basis. A "comment policy" sounds like a recipe for forums to become the St...

Decent sized apartment building proposed near future Blue Line in North: https://lims.minneapolismn.gov/download/Agenda/275/Olson%20Housing.pdf/38781/1423/461%20Girard%20Terrace.pdf Always good to see more density coming to this area, but I’m not a huge fan of the aesthetic’s. I think they could’ve...

Re: Forum Integration Committee

I’ve been impressed by how the past two updates to Skyscrapercity have made their forums increasingly dysfunctional and difficult to navigate. Maybe we could do something like that
Your post seems a bit snarky; or am I just reading it incorrectly?

Forum Integration Committee

Good afternoon. My name is Quinn Haberl. I am a member of the Streets MN board. We have formed a committee to look at the future of the forums and how they can be better integrated into the streets MN site. I am looking for people who are passionate about the forums. Things we are looking at Possibl...

Re: Root District - Farmers Market / Royalston Station

If it’s a photo studio, I don’t see why that couldn’t be incorporated into a new development. I would imagine that the price of the land has skyrocketed since Southwest light rail is going through. It seems like such an awful use of land that is extremely close to the light rail station. Sent from m...

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)

Someone said something about the route for earlier, I can’t find the post now. It would be great to see the route forget high frequency service. If this is actually something that’s in the planning, I sure hope they would try and experiment with some Bas only lanes on Lyndale between 28th St. and Fr...

Re: Root District - Farmers Market / Royalston Station

Curious if anyone can tell me a little bit more about the area I highlighted in the picture. It’s the area just to the west of the future Roslyn Avenue station. What exactly are these buildings, and what will it take to get them re-developed? Anyone think we could start to see these buildings re-dev...
