From my understanding the building is going to be the distribution hub for Kieran Foillard's (or now I guess its Jim Beam's) 2 Gingers Whiskey. Should be a great addition to the neighborhood either way.

It's a nice sunny day out, so I'm going to drive my car the half mile to the coffee shop so I can smoke a cigarette instead of biking and spend $3 on a cup of coffee when I could just as easily make it home.

I noticed that since last weekend the building has lights! Every window is illuminated at night! Looks really nice. I wonder how long it's been since they threw the switch off and the building has been siting dark on the river for all these years.

This is just a light-rail station masqueraded as something necessary for a future train (Amtrak/Commuter/HSR) station; it's actually an $80 million capacity project for Twins games. I think most of us have come to terms with that. But "just a light rail station" with a huge awning should ...

Does anyone know if they're going to leave the roof open like that, or will it be enclosed? Based on the renderings it would appear that it's going to be open from above, but that logic just doesn't compute for me.

if 3M takes the naming rights, could we collectively start calling it the 4MP Stadium to drop one of the M's and loose the redundancy in Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium... that's a mouth full! It could be shortened even more by calling it the 4M

Hiawatha; Hennepin and Dakota, so there was even more cooperation needed. Fairly certain Hiawatha doesn't touch Dakota county, it is entirely contained in Hennepin County. I wonder how structurally sound that bridge is. I want to say I remember them saying it would need significant structural upgrades to the bridge if they wanted to put a bike lane across it.
