Re: Orange Line (35W BRT) & Lake St Transit Access Project
I thought one of the benefits of BRT was supplementing the existing express service with all-day, frequent, station-to-station service. Of course Route 467 is faster than the Orange Line could ever be, but what if someone from Lakeville goes back midday or evening when its not economical to run the...

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
Makes me wonder if there are still plans for this wing to be luxury retail. I don't think Gucci or Prada is going to sign a lease near H&M. Another thing to note is that Tucci Bennuch recently closed and that space is contiguous to H&M. That frees up a big slice of space that also faces the...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
There is already a nice bike trail under 7 next to 169. Blake & 7 I don't think NEED a grade separated crossing. Much rather see it on Texas Ave and connect to the Cedar Lake Trail southward and Louisiana Oaks Park northward. Maybe that's just me.

Re: United Properties / Four Seasons "Gateway" Project (Nicollet Hotel Block)
I think this is actually the latest rendering: https://www.uproperties.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/gateway498x328.jpg I found it on the page with all their current projects. You can see the streetcar here notability. (I could be wrong and this is actually an older rendering than the others which...

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics
A handful of days back the city posted two concepts for the historic Walker and Lake district. https://www.stlouispark.org/home/showdocument?id=8375 Both concepts include a mini roundabout at Lake and Wooddale. (OMG I’m dancing inside) There are painted bike lanes on Lake. The Walker and Lake inter...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News
Like beauty, ease or difficulty of parking is in the eye of the beholder. Yes, most people I know think it's normal to complain about the parking at any big box stores simply because the empty spaces are to far away from the store entrance. You can NEVER win when it comes to parking. The only optio...

Re: Bike Share
The problem that dockless solves is that docks are really expensive so if you can instead spend that money on even more bikes, that's a win win! True, but they should do a hybrid. Have "dockless bikes" but require users to lock them onto official bike parking spaces, such as bike racks ci...

Re: Woman's Club of Minneapolis Parking Lot (344-410 Oak Grove)
If you're building new, a liquid-based, in-floor heating system could be installed somewhat reasonably, and run sparingly as needed. Would be a great amenity if they could get it included in the build-out. Yea I'd agree that is very likely to be in the planning process, but when they need to start ...
