Metro Transit Driver Who Struck, Killed Man Using Walker Charged

The Metro Transit driver who killed an elderly man in a downtown Minneapolis crosswalk in summer 2015 is being charged with careless driving and failure to yield.

Looks like MNDOT has saved Northstar Link bus service for the next five years. They will pay 80% of the route's operating costs and also cover 80% of the cost of buying 5 new coach buses. After this election, I think Minneapolis, Saint Paul and any other city that wants good transit should start thinking about coming up with some funding themselves.
