I always thought the Target Center would look better with spring patio doors. Would make for a more cabin on the lake feel.
With all the rebate savings maybe they could bring back some of the more striking features that had to be cut.

Re: Target Center Renovation
I don't have much to say except what a bummer. I knew this would happen once I read about chopping the budget down by a significant amount. If they only redo the lower section of siding and leave the top alone I wonder how much more of a muffin top this building will look like once all is said and d...

I have to wonder what we would have seen had there been more then a month to put something together? I am pleased that it appears at least one of the ideas is taller then the WF towers.

Re: The Eclipse
I couldn't really follow all of Chauncey's post, but I was going to say that my condo building does not allow for general storage in the parking stalls. You can hang a bike on the wall or rent an extra storage locker but no baby carriage where your car is supposed to go. I was trying to point out t...

Re: The Eclipse
I have to add that if I am dropping over 200k on a condo and that doesn't include the condo and parking dues/fees I owe every month on top of that. The last thing I would want to see driving into my parking space would be a baby crib, book shelf, or any other house hold items that belong in storage ...

Thanks for clearing up some of the ot posts. This thread should really be about the structure and not how it came to be built or financed. Re: The Eclipse
I for one really enjoy the look of the proposed tower(s). The bold dark almost night shade hues mixed in with golden vertical lines makes this building something I don't think is something Minneapolis has ever seen on such a large scale. The massing really brings a dominating presence to what is cur...

Is it common for the vacancy rates of class A/B/C to differ significantly? What consequences would we see if they diverged extremely (say class A vacancy 8% and class B over 20%)? I will try my hand at this one. Per Wikipedia :D "The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) classifies o...

I have to say if one is in the market for class A office space. The vacancy rates in class B and C doesn't really come into play. Seeing that the Class A vacancy rate is right around 11 percent. It isn't out of this world to imagine office space being proposed for downtown Minneapolis this coming ye...
