Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
I happen to be snooping around the city website today and found something interesting. According to this map sometime this year. First Avenue will get a protected bike lane from 40th St. to Franklin. It also looks like Blaisdale will receive the same thing. Yet this is the first I'm hearing of it. A...

I know the city is removing some tanks on the lot behind Rise. What is actually going in there? I heard rumblings on here about some 250 Apt building?

Re: Hennepin Avenue Reconstruction (Washington to 12th)
Not at all. I think the design has a long way to go. I like the protected bike lane. I would like to see the lanes narrowed. what is the posted speed limit? Can they slow down the traffic? If the Traffic is slowed, and the mode options are nurmious, we may be able to get some of the cars off. Sent f...

Re: Southside - General Topics
There's already an auto-parts store across the street! And a parking ramp could be used as a park and ride for the Lake St Station (while that's a terrible idea for many reasons, there is some Met Council work being done somewhere for a park and ride for the station, so who knows). That was I was t...

Has anyone heard about what will be going into the old firehouse at 3010 Minnehaha Ave where Patrick's Cabaret is currently? An article from a few weeks back said the building was recently purchased. Patrick's Cabaret is still looking for a new home. Wondering what would be a good fit there. Maybe ...

Re: Orange Line (35W BRT) & Lake St Transit Access Project
So what will the station types for the Orange line be? I know it will run down the middle of interstate 35W. Are they planning on making the stations inline? Will the bus have to exit 35W before stopping at a station?

Re: RISE at Prospect Park - 2929 University Ave SE
I go by this construction site each at least twice a week. What intrigues me, is that it's not a construction site. Everything looks the way it always has. Anyone have any ideas as to when they are anticipated to break ground? I believe they have passed all the city hurdles.

No. I think they placed it perfectly. Just look at all the development happening around the area. I am completely impressed with the green line. It shows just how willing people are to take trains over traditional buses. As a sidenote, I am very excited to see the development that occurs around the ...

Re: Graves Downtown East Development - Washington & Chicago
Very excited about this development. I think it's a great mix of uses. If my memory serves me right, that is the lot where the mega bus used to pick up. I remember standing out in the cold for several different occasions, waiting on the bus. Hopefully this has smooth sailing through the city process...
