Re: Elan Uptown (all phases) - 2837 Emerson Ave
I walked by this this morning. It's pretty stunning. They have a waterfall flowing between the two upper staircases. In a few weeks it will be more finished looking, and amazing. Nice to have that stairway down to the Greenway. Awesome.

Re: Uptown Restaurant News
I had brunch at Tinto Cocina + Cantina yesterday. Food was authentic and quite good. The service was decent, though it will take a while before they've got it down pat. The owner, Rebecca, made sure we were welcomed and gave us extra homemade corn tortillas (soft & warm!) They will be putting in...

Re: Uptown Development Map and General Discussion
Lake Street from Lake Calhoun to Girard is currently undergoing a mill & overlay. Does anybody have information on this? It'd be great if they ended up adding at least a bike lane with all that ROW they have. As far as I know the county is supposed to finish repaving now that Centerpoint has re...

Re: Uptown Development Map and General Discussion
That sign is probably there for delivery drivers who have not ever delivered to that that store before. You have to approach from the east to line up with the angled loading docks at the back. It is smart to have them go to Bryant which is a wide street and can handle wide truck sand their wide tur...

Re: Buzza Lofts of Uptown
A Buzza mention here: "Minneapolis seeks more people, not more cars" http://www.startribune.com/local/west/241222861.html Chris Barnes, a vice president of Dominium, said most people still view Minneapolis as “a car town.” The developer is building a project in Uptown, next to the new Buzz...

I really like the Buzza phase 2 concept, although I'm not a big fan of pools that are only used a couple months out of the year. Would rather see a different kind of common area - green space, firepit, outdoor bar/picnic area....
