Re: Downtown-to-Downtown Rail Capacity Study
Just pave a road along the rail corridor and drive a bus down it!

Re: MSP Airport
Sounds like they have a few upgrades:
- a "film screening room" a first for airports
- 5-7k of parking
-And on deltas news releases they mentioned two new flights to the Caribbean/Mexico area

Re: Riverview LRT
Since we're talking fantasies...
How much would it cost to do a sunken rail line for Finn st like the midtown greenway? The midtown line would cross the river and go to st Thomas down Finn to the Ford site with bridges for the east west streets as all the houses are on the east west streets.

Re: Minneapolis Fiber
I've been noticing Egan construction trucks appearing to be burying fiber lines all down highway 394 working their way west from hwy 100. I just noticed them like a month or do ago and wonder if it has to do with the century link fiber. They have are near ridgedale now.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
Is there any place that posts ridership numbers consistently? I'm curious how the green line has done with school in session and gopher/vikings games. When I search I only get articles from a few months ago after it opened.

Re: Twin Cities Future Transit Map
This new plan in Edina has a light rail in the renderings at Vernon and hwy 100. I'm on mobile now so can't make the map but they could have this go north south up to westend then to target field via cedar lake trail stopping at Penn too for people to transfer. Could stop at excelsior next to bunnys...

Seems like they should've had the big screen or another big screen in the amphitheater part.

The tunnel also isn't going under the channel is my understanding. It will start just north of lake st and go under cedar lake blvd coming up just before the channel and will go over the channel.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
Maybe its just me but I don't understand when Barb Johnson says Minneapolis isn't getting their fair share for the money they are putting in. Minneapolis is 95% of the blue line which the county and state paid a significant amount towards that almost solely benefits Minneapolis. This extension has a...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
I went to the game and rode it from west bank station to the stadium station and it was very full. The way back we just walked and saw people who couldn't get on at east bank station because it was so full. So at least it looked like a lot of people used it!

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
For the Midtown I feel like if there are minimal stops (I'm thinking 8: West Lake at SWLRT, Hennepin, Lyndale, Nicollet, 4th Ave, Chicago, Bloomington, Hiawatha at blue line) with the grade separation it could be pretty quick. So if you are in in the middle at Nicollet or 4th ave you would go throug...

Yeah I don't know why all the complaining about it actually being used. I could see negative comments from the same people if we build the park and it doesn't get used by the Vikings on game weekends.
