Looking at that last picture, you can really see how small the Commons is actually going to be (especially if they don't close any roads).

It seems like they have been pile driving on the north side of the commons all day. Anyone have any idea why? It seems to early to be starting the residential portion of the park.

I assume that since it's an assessment, it could be financed like other assessments are through the property taxes?

I grew up in Buffalo, and to this day I still hear people talking about how Lake and Hennepin is the most dangerous part of the city (therefor it must also be the most dangerous part of the state since it is in scary Minneapolis).

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't recall seeing anything saying that the Mall of America is pressing charges. If this is true, I find it strange that the city would go after this even though the property owners seemed to have moved on.
