Chef extraordinaire Doug Flicker is taking over the old Sunrise Inn, and bringing a jukebox bar with benefits to South Minnie. http://mspmag.com/eat-and-drink/foodie/coming-soon-doug-flickers-new-bar-bull-s-horn/ (Didn't see a 34th Ave / Downtown NENA thread). https://twitter.com/bullshornmpls/stat...

Re: Southdale Area Development - Edina

At 360 feet, the taller of the two towers would be nearly the height of Canadian Pacific Plaza in downtown Minneapolis. Ryan will need a variance, since the site is zoned for a height of four stories and 48 feet. http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2017/05/16/ryan-plans-a-pair-of-condo-tower...

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure

I guess I don't have a big problem with the parking near the coffee shops, as it's restricted. I'm just not sure it will be enforced though.

If it wasn't in a trench I might be in favor of it being park. As is, LRT all the way.

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station Development

I certainly think it's a valid concern, I'm just not sure it's that different than the Longfellow Grill building. Hopefully with it being a multi tenant building with a transit station next door, there will be plenty of eyes around to discourage any crime. Obviously anecdotal, I can see The Cardinal...

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station/Lander Development

It looks like there is green space along with the parking. The parking does seem strange though. Otherwise this looks like a great addition to the hood. The relocated traffic light at 29th Ave, I'm assuming this is replacing the current lights in front of the Cardinal?

I was hoping they would cover me in Standish this year. Doesn't look like it. I'm probably going to sign back up with Comcast after my Centurylink contract is up. It looks like their internet only prices are pretty close to matching USI now.

Re: Ford Twin Cities Assembly Plant Redevelopment

Competing visions for vacant Ford-plant site set the stage for a lengthy battle Hoppe and a coalition of a dozen like-minded neighbors worry that the city’s plans to partner with an as-yet unknown developer and create a “sustainable” urban village will overwhelm their street with traffic, while blo...
