Speaking for myself, I was disappointed because I don't think their food is good... not because it's a chain. I'd be surprised if it did well in that location.

I was hoping for a good Mexican restaurant to open in the North Loop at some point. Unfortunately, this does not take care of that.

Maybe they're actually taking their time to fill the spaces up with ideal tenants instead of stuffing a bunch of quick fixes in there.

Interesting. If I were them and starting from scratch I probably wouldn't use half of the previous tenant's name that went out of business, but it probably won't matter much.

Both of these buildings have fit in pretty well along this street. Especially the second one, which was built on a pretty undesirable piece of land.

They should do something similar on the back of Schubert.

The wide doors opening towards Cuzzy's parking lot were wide open this morning and someone was going in and out. Not sure what was going on though. Like others, I'm not around during the day to see if anything is happening.

This place and Republic are completely different. They both have long tap lists and that's about it. Think Yard House only a little more upscale.

And I think there's a pretty wide opening between just doing fine and having long lines out the door and being a destination experience.

Looks like Chicago based restaurant will be going into the old Borders space on 6th. I would be surprised if they actually use the Pour House name.

I think there's still a lack of good dining options around this in the core. Something large scale, like a Yard House, would crush it at this location.

Yeah, they're already in the process of expanding their current brewery / taproom. This is an offshoot from the DM head brewer and several other people.

I agree. Walking towards this from the North Loop the freeway ramp blocks the entire base. It just looks like a whole lot of tan brick.

Yeah, saw a dumpster on site this morning and it looks like they're pulling stuff out of here. Good to see this one get going.
