Re: DTE: Wells Fargo, Radisson Red, Edition Apts & Millwright Building
My one complaint was that they didn't pace the food very well. We didn't have time to finish our starter before the main course arrived. It was a bit slow, so it might have just been a bored kitchen staff, but still. I know this isn't the point of the thread, but THIS! SO MANY Minneapolis restauran...

Has the tower portion of this begun yet? Or are they still working on the smaller branch building.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Macy's Building
They weren't alone. It was a closed competitionESG had been talking up their design work on this for a while, so I don't think it's exactly a closely guarded secret. But I haven't seen the actual plans.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Macy's Building
And that's for City Center Realty? The one they're no longer offering it to? Sort of. It was designed by a certain local firm that lost the bid under a different group name but the design was going to be repurposed (was basically purchased) under these guys. So now I have no idea what will happen. ...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Macy's Building
So will those who supposedly had some insider knowledge of City Center Realty Partners' plans be able to divulge what they had seen? I thought I saw some folks on here as well as a few media people on Twitter claiming as such. Imagine Seattle Public Market meets urban mall with full building atrium...

Re: Century Plaza redevelopment - 330 South 12th St
So basically, be Kraus AndersonI really hope the future developer doesn't build a single building in the same mass as this one. Split it up. Build like, 3 separate buildings, each with an active ground floor and varying materials. But hey, maybe that's too much to ask for.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Macy's Building
It's not going to be another department store. Multiple tenants. Building preserved but interior renovated. It looks good. Just be patient.

Re: 200 Central - Alatus Tower (Washburn-McReavy Site) 483' / 40 Stories
This is across the river from downtown and near to other very tall buildings. This is so ridiculous that it can be held up like this. It got approval. Tear it down in the dead of night and deal with the consequences later. I know thats not how it works, but its just frustrating. Its alongside a mass...

I know we are sad but the redevelopment plans are sick. The design is in the SD phase. But it's a secret... soo...... That's it

Re: CPM 16-Story Apartment Proposal - 1315-19 4th St SE (Mesa/Camdi/Chatime site)
I feel like if they were smart, they would have included street level perspective renderings within the packet that try to demonstrate how at the eye level of the pedestrian, the scale above is minimized to an extent. By showing these birds eye perspectives at uninhabitable viewpoint, he was emphasi...

Re: 365 Nicollet - (Opus Ritz block)
Does anyone think the balconies are strangely reminiscent of Studio Gang's Aqua in Chicago? There, they have horrible problems with thermal bridging because its a continuous slab. I really hope the renderings are just idealistic/representative because that would be a terrible mistake in our climate

Can somebody summarize the article for the unfortunate souls who don't have subscriptions. The conceptual renderings look gloriously sexy.
