Hopefully they're able to fill all the retail openings. I'm still waiting for the Maverick to lease their open spot next to Whole Foods.
On a related note the apartment/mixed-use portion cleared the Planning Commission last night.

Re: United Properties / Four Seasons "Gateway" Project (Nicollet Hotel Block)
it was recently reported financing for hotels downtown is fastly becoming challenging at best. It's very risky right now with all the recent added hotel rooms. Notice how all the other hotel proposals as of recent fell apart. Either they are going to have to nix the hotel rooms and switch to a diff...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
The issue is the subs helped influence the design of the project, they could have introduced specifications that would have steered the mains to utilizing their services. Not saying they did, but it’s pretty standard to not let any vendors involved in creating the project specifications and SOW also...

I'm not familiar enough with JetBlue's route map to know if Boston is the best city to tie into the rest of their flights -- seems like you're going to be flying well out of your to get just about anywhere if you're connecting through there. JetBlue has 60+ nonstop destinations out of Boston so it'...

Part of the retail with the apartment will be the West Elm store/showroom. Hearing rumblings that the West Elm Hotel won't start work til spring 2018.

What does this mean for some other County owned buildings? For example the Family Justice Center sits on a lot that is over half the size of the block. That would a nice property to get back on the tax rolls.... I doubt the FJC would move in the near future. Even though it's a Hennepin County build...

That is utterly abysmal. I'm all for putting stuff on the edges but if you're going to do it do it right, get rid of a good chunk of the surface parking, re-route the loop road, then put in quality mixed-use development on the edges all around.

I presume they'll have to raise the crane? It seems like they will have to do that for the Hub at the U of M, but that crane is in the middle of the building so I don't understand how they will raise it. I guess I'm curious about the construction techniques. I think it's just the angle of the photo...

206 N Washington might be getting demolished to make renovations on 200 Washington easier. Short term it'll be a grassy lot, but long term it opens up some interesting redevelopment opportunities:

I'm a big fan of the Fusion hybrid, I've driven it on several occasions and was always impressed at the mileage, handling, and interior/cargo space. Delta has flown 777s out of MSP for years. Only plane I can think of that would be an issue is the A380, runways wouldn't be an issue but MSP doesn't have the jetways needed to handle them.I didn't think our airport/runways/jetways could handle the 777? Or is that old news?

I was very curious to see how they would handle the Roe Wolfe building and intergrating it with the development, gotta say I really like how everything looks.
