Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
That just speaks to how broken our funding mechanisms and politics are. Not how optimally we built the line. Thanks to the way funding mechanisms at the time favored new riders over improving the route for existing riders, yes, we were scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Would it be possible to print on to the bumper sticker a QR code that directs to the Metro Transit mobile site address for the stop number?

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
people say 48 minutes scheduled end-to-end is "too long" aren't trying to make a comment about how the signal time is bad, they're saying Target Field to Union Depot in 48 minutes is a long time ~when they could drive~ it in 20 or whatever minutes. I've never owned a car and I think 48 mi...

Re: The Case For Quarter Mile Bus Stop Spacing
That was one of the things that really turned me off to buses, despite having a half mile walk on one end and a quarter mile on the other it seemed like it took forever because it would stop so often. Yup. Taking the 6 from downtown to uptown during rush hour you're pretty much guaranteed to stop n...

Re: The Case For Quarter Mile Bus Stop Spacing
Can we PLEASE start with the 28th and Hennepin bus stop. You literally don't even need to cross the street to get to the uptown transit center from it.

Re: Subsidized Housing
When the city gives tax credits to developments with a poor door it says either the city is ok giving tax credits to morally objectionable practices or that the city doesn't find it objectionable

Re: Subsidized Housing
So if creating a separate door for racial minorities increases total rents, and thus leads to more housing units on the margin, is that ok too?

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects
There would be worse things than getting rid of gated communitiesVery true. But we are not the ones footing the bill for the project, and are not the ones buying the million dollar condos. Shouldnt they have the say? How is this any different than a gated community?

Re: Thresher Square Hotel & Apartments - Washington & Chicag
TJ's will find a spot in Minneapolis eventually, likely downtown due to the restrictive liquor spacing requirements elsewhere, Random thought/tangent: so the anachronistic alcohol laws could have the unintended consequence of helping make downtown more residential friendly by adding artificial pres...
