DTE: Wells Fargo, Radisson Red, Edition Apts & Millwright Building
Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)
The 100 Hennepin proposal has 159 units on six stories with a similar footprint, so I don't think more units here are unreasonable considering that this doesn't back up to a parking ramp.

The parcels lining 4th are tiny. And have retail. Almost certainly single-loaded corridors (since they face the blank wall of the WF buildings). The building in the park is supposed to contain a restaurant and perhaps some park-supportive space as well.
I'd guess that 195 unit split is something like 40/40/115.

Was this from the little picnic/meeting they did today?

Yep. And I'm not sure why we're questioning this -- do we think they're concealing a secret missle silo inside on of the apartment buildings? The parcels lining 4th are tiny. And have retail. Grant I like your perspective shots. I have now found myself when I'm walking DT looking at possible photo shots for the future. Like how you work in or in between current building for some great shots.

A medallion from the Star and Tribune building made an appearance this morning when the plastic covering it blew away. It's on the Wells Fargo twin that's a little less further along in the construction process, the one bounded by Portland, Park, 4th and 3rd.

That's awesome.

The framework for the 5th Avenue skyway, connecting the Haaf parking ramp with the northern WF twin, went up this weekend.

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)
I keep wondering if this project will encourage the outdoor "skyway" through the Gov Center ramp (between Thrivent and Jail) to be fully enclosed and climate controlled. Otherwise the current path routes people behind Latitude45, WF NOC, then south from the old Crossings condo tower.
Not that I really mind, but this northwest corner of the skyway feels really contrived and utilitarian. Almost St. Paul in nature in terms of skyways. Many blocks of sterile skyway corridors that were either hacked through single-use buildings (jail, NOC) or to parking garages. I don't think there are any businesses serving the skyway north of 701 Building (along the "5th Ave Wall"), or northeast of US Bank Plaza, or east of the Crossings.

From the stub walls that I saw in the Haaf ramp last week I'd say that this section of skyway will be enclosed and that they will be reconfiguring the placement of the doors to the elevator lobby and the new skyway into a new entrance from the exist skyway. They have lost at least a dozen parking spaces due to the realignment of the walls for the new skyway.I keep wondering if this project will encourage the outdoor "skyway" through the Gov Center ramp (between Thrivent and Jail) to be fully enclosed and climate controlled. They just had the steel topping off event for the East Tower. Saw all of the people surrounding the tree at the intersection.

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)
As expected, Wells Fargo is planning to put a "significant" chunk of change down on the park.

Go ahead. If you could mention me in the tweet that'd be cool.
