I really like it! Those arches subtly suggest the armory and it kinda has a North Loop vibe going on.

I really like the arches, what I'd suggest is that the corner "tower" were a little taller and include an arched window in the top floor.

It's amazing what developers can do when they're doing it for themselves! Nice details, quality, uniform design elements. This project is way more solid than I had expected.

I like the arches a lot, and I like the overall look, modern spin on the classic brick buildings from the early days of Minneapolis.

Roughly 400 linear feet, including a street corner, with nodoors. That needs to change. Otherwise, it looks nice.

I'd make the 'tower' flush, not taller (which it might be, hard to tell from the perspective.) it appears this will share parking with WF tower next door. The commuter showers/lockers are a nice touch. Now, if they added a floor they could put in some service retail...

I think the arches are great. They give it a feel that is larger than the 4 stories would suggest.

I've always thought that arches age poorly with faux historic buildings. But we'll see with this one.

The space adjacent to the front doors seems perfect for a cafe with outdoor seating, though they'd have to lose the hip staircase amphitheater.

Yeah the bike storage and showers downstairs are really nice. Especially since it's a pretty seamless path from the bike room to the stairwell to the showers (and what look like lockers in the same room); my building is a bit more difficult. I don't mind the arches - if the brickwork is high quality I don't think it'll age poorly.

The large windows and architectural detail should be enough to not make this a dead walk, but just one additional use on the ground floor would be nice. Some symmetry to the setback on the other corner for a cafe would be nice, but there isn't much there to make for a good cafe experience (2 ramps & a surface lot).

It will be connected to the Wells Fargo building at the skyway level which will have retail.

^But that doesn't do anything for 5th Ave or 4th Street frontages.

Not every corner needs retail. If we can't support retail on Nicollet Mall what makes you think this area would support it? If there is already retail being built in the skyway and a Trader Joe's across the street maybe it makes sense to let it play out. There are going to be other developments in the neighborhood, let them put in retail if it makes sense.

The Traders Joe's is 2 blocks away. The skyway can only be reached by the tunnel in the basement. No, not every single corner needs retail, but we've already reached the point of too many corners without retail. There is already too much dead space downtown. At least by building a space for retail there is a chance sometime in the near future of having a busy street front.
