That's kind of the definition of avoiding sprawl, right?I don't know how much sprawl a stadium induces, but at the very least locating it in Minneapolis leverages our existing (and growing) infrastructure and is centrally located to the region's population.For the record, I always said that if we have to build this thing, it should be in Minneapolis. To limit sprawl if nothing else.
As for what the Arden Hills location would have done, look up the planned freeway expansion. I doubt that (over-)capacity would have been left unused by hungry developers.
Totally agree about the poor interaction with the street.
