The bottom is unpainted, though. I think they're going for that "Cheeto dust on your fingers" look.

A sign for Fly Feet Running was installed on the 15 Building today. I guess it's going to be a group running studio?

There are signs in the windows of the old Hubert's on Chicago saying "Eric the Red" is coming soon.

Erik the Red.

Have a friend that is bartending there. They are branding themselves as a "Nordic Smokehouse specializing in Barbarian BBQ." Some more details from Stephanie March: http://mspmag.com/eat-and-drink/foodie/ ... lly-s-pub/

I think it might be the Ironclad development the Minneapolis property info website lists a master land use application for the properties that ironclad is suppose to occupy with the same applicant name.

Yeah, I don't know what to make of that. The plans submitted to the city in April, and the imagery on their website, don't show the Iron Clad building extending into this lot, and this seems to be pretty far along to be making a major change to the building like that. Additionally, as Nick pointed out on the Twitter, they're asking for a CUP to increase the maximum height, which for this lot means they're aiming for more than 10 stories. The hotel wing fronting Chicago is/was planned to be only 9 stories.

On the other hand, this lot is a postage stamp - only .14 acres. It's obviously not impossible to build a 11+ story building on a lot that size, but it seems surprising with the amount of surface parking and low-rise buildings this area still has.

That lot was previously slated for a two story restaurant space (built to suit) and that rendering was still on a for lease board on the site yesterday when I biked by.

Maybe they've turned up no potential tenants and have decided to double down?

Is anyone planning to go on Friday? I hope someone can take some pictures and post them - I unfortunately can't go on Friday.
