Hennepin County Government Center's fountain and pool are closed for repair until September. They currently have fencing around it while they work. As much as I like the fountain, I really wish there was a large-scale sculpture in this plaza (either in place of or in addition to the fountain).

Well I guess it was a good plan to move the farmers market over there.

3.5 m for a fountain repair actually seems pretty steep... You really could do some real work with that.

It's in the plaza on the other side of the building.

Burl Gilyard has a good article dealing with the downtown condo scene, the issues with the warranty requirements and lawsuits, and some especially choice quotes from the old coot himself, Jim Stanton:
Burl Gilyard: “How did you pick the Portland Tower site?”

Jim Stanton: “I must have been sleeping that day.”

Good article. As of today, the Portland tower has sold 52 units, and would probably be selling a little faster if it was closer to the river. But I have a feeling it will sell out too. I noticed Stanton mentioned that the Eclipse project is still on the agenda as long as he is alive.

Anyone know why Normandy just tore up half of their pretty new parking lot? You can see it on the KA Block webcam.

Renovation of the buildings next to the 15 Building

Also saw that the first floor of the 15 Building is getting torn up right now, hopefully for a new tenant.

The little ones. Looks like they're going for a whole new front facade.

According to Google Streetview this has been empty for quite some time. Good to get these filled.

Can any one Direct me to where I can find more information about the eclips project. I believe it was supposed to be constructed back in 2007. It would've been located on the south east corner of Washington, if my memory serves me right.
