The Eclipse
Re: The Eclipse
My gut is that there are a lot of proposals out there and not as much demand - for residential and office. The Wells Fargo project doesn't add much space to downtown vacancy rates - so the few office development proposals are not impacted by those new structures. The full effects of the Downtown East development have not been felt yet - the energy around that new area is very real and unprecedented. The north end of the Nicollet Mall - if the Opus and the other Nicollet block adjacent to it could change the game for the Eclipse and that transitional area - could really change the skyline. I think that any vacant block with a close proximity to the LRT lines is going to be snapped up pretty quickly.

Typical Realtor, trying to humanize people who sell for a living, and push back against dumb stereotypes.

Re: The Eclipse
I hate to extend this thread, but for the record, I don't have any inherently negative feelings about realtors.
Re: The Eclipse
Me either! Both my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are realtors! So sorry for the hurtful and lazy bashing of the poor lady at the sales office!

Re: The Eclipse
I apologize for getting the threat off topic. My comment was not intended to bash realtors. it was based on my personal observation of what I heard from multiple realtors over the course of six months and the facts which transpired afterwards. If I have offended anyone, I apologize.
Re: The Eclipse
Anyway, getting back on topic.... the most recent Case-Schiller index shows prices increases are starting to stall out so Stanton might be less inclined to develop anymore condos.

Re: The Eclipse
Ignorant question here.... What is the significance of it showing up on bidclerk? Thanks!

Re: The Eclipse
As in they are going to try to come back to submit (modified) plans to the city again?
Re: The Eclipse
It would be smart for them to get going and get a head start from United.
Re: The Eclipse
Haven't seen anything on this project lately.

Re: The Eclipse
The Legacy is happening first. Stanton does one project at a time. Will this one be next? Who knows.

Re: The Eclipse
If he manages to stay alive for another 5 years and the market stays hot... maybe.
Re: The Eclipse
I think the market will stay hot. I love thinking about what the city will look like in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years. It will be nice to get that parking lot out of there.

Re: The Eclipse
do you really think there is no "next in line" and his company will just liquidate when he dies?If he manages to stay alive for another 5 years and the market stays hot... maybe.

Re: The Eclipse
I wouldn't be surprised if much of the his success is directly related to just how grumpy of an old man he is, someone else may not be willing/able to take the same chances/opportunities that Stanton has.
