They took the barricade down on the City Works corner. I'm assuming they're going to build out a vestibule or something, because man oh man is that an awkward revolving door.

Looking at it as I passed by this morning, I think it won't be more than this. It looks like they just have a funky door.

Yeah I don't think they would have redone the concrete around it to match the sidewalks if they had planned to cover it, and you can see they poured it its own little foundation. I hope they're able to make it seem cohesive lol

I think you guys are right. Walking down the other side of Hennepin this morning, I saw that Union's revolving door is the exact same setup. They just have pillars in front so it's not quite as obvious.

Signs are up for City Works, light up too. I think it fits right in.

The problem with being an introvert online is that no one knows you're just hanging out and listening.

Personally I love the remodel, inside and out. Exterior and lighting really adds to Hennepin Avenue and the side streets. A little disappointed that the improved streetscaping didn't take place.

I haven't seen the inside but I think the exterior is an excellent outcome.

The inside is great, stop in. Once full it'll be even more defining tab the exterior I think. The exterior is an improvement for sure.

Didn't grab a picture, but there's now an HDR sign on the Sixth St. side. They'll be moving in by the end of January.

The inside is looking much less desolate, as the entrances to both City Works and the HDR office are now open.

Also, City Works is building a sidewalk patio. Sorry, trig.

I was wondering for a while if City Works would have a patio. Saw it tonight after a show at First Ave and was pretty excited. I think it'll make that stretch of Hennepin much livelier. (And there still seemed to be enough space on the sidewalk - it's a pretty narrow patio).

I think they need to clarify their signage and add Restaurant beneath. I would have know idea what City Works was! A Temp Agency? lol

I have to admit I had no idea what City Works was either, but I think the patio furniture will clue me in.

Or the massive signs that say "120 tap beers", and "scratch kitchen" that have been on the windows.

Why would I scratch my kitchen? If I want to scratch something I'll buy a lottery ticket. And I don't wanna scratch those fancy appliances.
