DId people actually think the green stripes were part of the finished project??!? I always assumed they were insulation that would be covered eventually.

Doesn't the green and purple have lettering on it? Pretty obvious it's not a permanent feature IMHO.

Oh lord. Why such a confusing mess. I was reporting that Metal paneling was going up over the teal and purple areas this morning, as well as a matching band between all of the floors.

Yeah, we just couldn't believe that some people thought the teal areas were part of the finished product, that's all!

They're keeping the exterior elevators right?

I'm thinking the teal and purple colors people are referring to are the installation of the underlayments that the silver metal paneling will be attached to. The material prevents water leakage from getting inside the structure itself when the exterior metal panels get wet from rain, melting ice, etc.

I was really shocked when this started going up and the building didn't have windows. I thought for sure the renders showed windows on the building. We've been hoodwinked!

I hadn't realized that the windows in the center portion were of different heights until they stayed putting up the paneling! It's kind of a cool detail to have that alternating spacing!

Oh good...that had been on renderings, but I wasn't sure it would show up on the final product!

has anybody seen the few pictures that LPM posted on facebook on what the inside looked? Is anybody else just as turned off as I am?

I'm not denying that the materials they used weren't expensive as they definitely do..but the white granite countertops mixed with the birch cupboards, a regular kitchen faucet and the white walls made me feel off. I do not like it. If they added some color (like a backsplash in the kitchen) and change those standard kitchen faucets, I think it *might* be worth the $1,600/$4,000 a month in rent.

Paint is THE cheapest thing to change about anyplace and perhaps they wait until the first tenant signs the lease before painting the unit -- allowing the tenant to choose their own colors.

If that's the biggest issue I don't think there's an issue. I personally repaint almost all of the rooms of any rental we choose to live in to make it more kid-friendly.

Yeah it is the cheapest thing. I agree about the repainting and typically do that myself. However the white paint is least of the problems.

go to their page and look at the pics they posted. They don't even have pendant lighting on the center island/breakfast bar like most MODERN apartments do. Let me guess, they probably have a standard flushmount you'll find in every other single apartment. Also the kitchen faucet just screams regular ordinary kitchen. They could've used something grander looking that looks like this one: http://www.homedepot.com/p/MOEN-Align-S ... c=17588969

maybe they haven't installed the lighting fixtures yet...I dunno. Still a little early yet so I guess we'll see. so far I'm not impressed.
