The balconies are going up on the north side. I'm still not really crazy about the base, but I'm sure the restaurant will help if that's what they end up putting in there.

Taking every compulsive nerve trying to calm down and not climb up that tower and "fix" the one sheet of insulation that was hung with the label leaning in the wrong direction.

So how are they going to attach the finish panels? With the window washing equipment?

Since the Carlyle was built in 2008, and it's only the third tallest residential building in the state due to the Carlyle (which is the tallest) and Cray (formerly Galtier) Plaza in Saint Paul.

IT seems to take longer to clad this tower than to build the tower. Can't believe is is supposed to be ready for occupation soon and the south side of the tower still has a majority of the green insulation showing.

I have a source that tells that the leasing process for this building has been challenging to say the least. I honestly don't know how reliable this is, but the number 8% was floating around in the conversation. Anyone know if this is true? I honestly can't believe that this building is less than 10% leased.

I can see that... it's the most expensive new building in town. they have to convince people who are already living in similar cost apartments to move there, and not all those people are lease free right away. I'm sure they'll make it but there aren't that many people with that income able to just leave thei old place (which also must be bad ass at similar cost)

It's not open yet! I have a friend who leases for them. She says they don't have many leases yet, because they are unable to tour! So the 20 or so they have are totally sight unseen. They have a long list for tours once the building is open.

Location location location. The type of people that can afford this are not the type of people who want to live in loring park.
