Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
That's a good point, I remember 12 floors as well, but the drawings did change and I bet the latest renderings/height is most accurate -- although I count over 10 floors myself. But I'd also appreciate confirmation on that. I'll try checking his website to see if details are available. I mean, this thing is under construction now, no?
Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Yes, the most recent renderings show 12...but like I say, I have read both. Site work is underway, and Stanton recently said in an article that "construction" would start within 10 days.

The latest word is 12 floors & 169 units.

I wish there was an updated rendering for this. It looks like the footprint is going to be really big. I hope it turns out as well as 36 Park in SLP.

Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
I think it will turn out quite a bit BETTER than 36 Park in SLP! This is my #2 or #3 favorite project, in both concept and design (potential -- it could also be butt ugly).
Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
The large footprint is likely for a big parking base, no?

Parking is underground for this project...The large footprint is likely for a big parking base, no?

Apologies that I had a question about something not directly discussed in the thread.
Thanks for responding though. I guess I'll do more due diligence and keep questions to myself in the future.

It may seem like something obvious, but I wouldn't say not to ask questions if you honestly have them.

But if it's an extremely stupid question......It may seem like something obvious, but I wouldn't say not to ask questions if you honestly have them.
JK, I thought it was relevant.

It's such a pretty crane! Looks awesome from 94.
Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Very nice. What is taking so long with 1368 I wonder? They must be going about things differently...as this and The Nic started much later.
Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Well 1368 is 26 stories taller then this. That probably has something to do with it. But it does seem like this is moving pretty fast, especially if they expect occupancy in 15 months.
Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Because it's shorter, the foundation loads at Stonebridge will be much less, and it's located in an area with better soils. I haven't been over there to look in person, but I'd guess that they're using regular concrete spread footings, while 1368 is having to use deep caissons.
Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Yeah, sounds like they may be putting up the 1368 one today...but The Nic's(which isn't THAT much shorter) also went up very fast, that's why I was wondering.
It looks like the height will be 146 feet? Just about 35 feet taller than The Bridgewater...so fairly significant for this area.

Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)
Oh wow, so a little under half the size of 1368 LaSalle and about half the size of the Nic? It certainly will set a worthy precedent for being the first/last thing you see when entering/leaving downtown via Washington Ave!Yeah, sounds like they may be putting up the 1368 one today...but The Nic's(which isn't THAT much shorter) also went up very fast, that's why I was wondering.

Walking across the Hennepin Avenue bridge yesterday, I noticed this crane has a cool blinky light on it that kinda fades in and out. Looks futuristic . For whatever reason, I also like the look of the flat top cranes vs. the ones with the boom on top.
