Well, that makes all the difference, doesn't it?

Clearly not to everyone's taste, but I think it looks good in person - similar to the Gold Medal Park letters down the street.

The signage itself is great. I like it. The snark was reserved for how the building meets the street... and how it doesn't make up for that.

I guess I don't get it why the entrance wasn't made a bit more elegant appearing and substantial. That's usually just a matter of fact component and "given" for most upscale urban condo and apartment buildings. I wonder if Stanton will do better with the Eclipse ? I'm skeptical.

The joke I keep making in my head whenever I see the terrible entrance/ single-story portion of the building is that the architects were playing off of the existing structures in the area.

Is that The Bridges in the background to the right?

Occupancy has begun:

Saw people moving in last night. Also of note, the units are 80% sold. I'm calling this one "completed."

80%?! How long did that take (from initial pre-sales to now)? I wonder what kind of precedent that sets for other potential condo developments, and whether we're yet at the threshold for where condo development makes feasible financial sense for developers.

I took a few pictures last week, since I felt Andy's cropped and zoomed winter bleakness photo wasn't doing the building any justice (no offence to you though, you work with what you've got).

The sad thing about this one is that it looked way better when the white Tyvek was still exposed. It's just not sleek enough for black on black to look good.

I really hope Stanton leaves this area alone for a while. The ultimate nightmare is Sherman selling the Zenith II land to Stanton for another one of these things...

Can I just say something? I HATE the font they chose for this!!!! It reminds me of a hospital. Seems like something piddly and small but it really puts the whole thing off for me.

It is very strange. It looks like a driveway into that garage door on the left, so I guess I'm disappointed that the garage entrance is right there. Especially since the lot is sloped such that you could easily have an underground entrance behind the building, so putting an entrance there is just removing leasable/sellable space for no particular reason.

The garage door you see is for a guest parking. The entrance for residents is in the rear, off the sloped drive on the far right of the photo immediately above.
